    Been meaning to post some pics of this for a while, friend took delivery of his GTO at the factory, this arrived documenting the experience.

    Firstly, very classy the "book" is leather bound and as can be seen there is a GTO on the front, lower down the page the owners initial are inscribed. Inside the book are various pictures of the handing over cermony, conducted in the factory at the end of the assembly line.

    For me though the first page is quite special....

    How time flies, a year ago today was standing outside the importers hoping the next container to be unloaded had the GTO....everytime we thought 'oh it must be this container it proved not to be"

    There is no technical spec, just pictures of the handing over. Still waiting for the Classiche Folder to arrive....

    I got a very similar book for my 612. I believe they do it for everyone who takes factory delivery, or maybe even every new car.

    I am told its only for factory delivery, there is also a unique keyring.

    Is there any difference in terms of price if you bought a car straight from the factory or in a dealership (talking about brand new ones) ?

    They gave me a nice keyring, but only after I asked if I could get one. They also gave me a couple of books, including the 612 in China book. None of that was really organized, however-- it was just myself and the factory sales guy sitting around chatting.

    The price is the same either way, although there are a number of hoops you have to jump through to do factory delivery. There really isn't an organized program, at least for Americans.

    I have to say, though, that it is absolutely worth it!

    This wasnt very organized either, though there was also a 288 GTO in close vicinity! There was also a factory tour and lunch at Montana.
