    Hello

Is anyone on Larini , Capriso or Tubi Exhaust for their Ferrari ?? Thinks that the 599 stock exhaust is too quiet and looking to find a exhaust with something loud and bassy ( hopefully somewhere near like the Maserati )

Or is there something in the market that will not break the bank but sounds loud and bassy ??

Again , thanks in advance .

I've heard the Capristo one before, it was incredibly loud but in a bad way. Like those super modded japanese tin cans. I just heard the Larini today, it sounded great, better than the default exhaust but still not very loud at low rpms. The owner told me that he wanted to change his exhaust because it still wasn't loud enough for him. The cheapest way to make your car louder is to just permanently open the valves. It's free and takes only 5 minutes.

My dad and I are actually looking to change the exhaust on our 599 as well now, but so far only Larini and Capristo offer a valve control system so we won't wake the whole neighbourhood up at night.

    Hello Sareve

Thanks . Have already permanently open the valves but thought it still sounded soft .

Tubi sounded not too bad but worry about the drone .

Yup, I think you'll need the whole setup because with just the exhaust change, it still won't be as loud as the mid engined cars.

all early batch GTRs had the gearbox issue. But it is easily fixed by the more experienced workshops like Maximus racing and Garage R, and the problem doesnt happen again. Ever!
My gearbox has been super reliable despite having that problem early on. Maximus fixed it and after software upgrades, its even better

I had a Larini on my 599. Sound still wasnt loud enough...meaning it still doesnt raise your excitment level despite it being louder than stock. The first set was a bit boomy. Larini factory then tuned the exos a bit to cater to my taste but then it had drone at around 3k rpm. Gave me a bad headache so I took it off. Mine is now on standard exhaust with the valves opened but it still doesnt give me a kick despite pulling the engine to 6k + rpm.

You are right. The 599 still wont give you a high if you just change the muffler. Not easy to get a mid engine sound like 430 with just a exhaust change. I have been doing lots of research. I have narrowed it down to getting a set of bypass secondary cat deletes... Bypass the secondary cats and the sound should be a lot fiercer. Enzo like. Fabspeed offers it and I have been thinking of ordering a set. Keep the original exhaust with valves and the sound should be controllerable by either going easy on the rpm or just dropping a gear or two to open the valves and get a much fiercer sound. Have not heard of any issues with CELs either. And the cost is around US$1200 .

Looks like quite a few 599 owners are seeking a fiercer exhaust note. I too am looking around for quality after-market exhuasts, but it seems that there aren't many choices. I'm likely to try the Fabspeed bypass pipes first. Perhaps we can do a group buy?

Hi there Coupe1, tailhappy, SW73 aka Steven, Sareve, Kopiokosong and all,

Good day. The 599 that Sareve n Kopiokosong mentioned wif the Larinis is my car. Also, in an earlier page, the red 599 pics that Ahmad the photographer posted up is my car. Thanks to Ahmad for the beautiful pics......

Let me noe on this bypass pipes. Sounds like a plan. I do like my current Larinis already on my 599, bt it is stil nowhere near the larinis I had on my G.

In addition, I am considering a Larini sports cat as the next step. Will it make any diff?

    Thanks

The F599 Mansory sounds the hottest. But i think it cost a fortune. have seen a F599 with Novitec and it sounds good.

Yikes! that many??? still dont see that many on the roads though...

sounds good if the resulting exos note is what we are looking for

As I understand it, the bypass pipes will make the car sound rawer. With more grunt when flooring it..but I havent hear a sound clip of it with OEM exos yet either. But am more convinced now that its what I am looking for.

Sounds like you just got yr 599
Did you get yr 599 Larini from EM ? with valves or without? with my 599 and Larini, the car sounded good from the outside, but still too quiet on the inside! car has too much sound insulation. I hope I dont mod it until it sounds way too loud roadside, but just nice to my ears from the cabin.
Sports cat will sound louder. But I think its pretty much the same exos with lesser stuffing inside.

a couple years back I heard a 599 with Novitec exos...car was thunderous just cruising in my basement car park.

If I had a choice, the 599 GTO exos sounds really good. But it is quite different from the 599's , and I doubt it can be modified to fit. Even Ferrari Parts suppliers cant tell me if it will work on a 599 GTB
