Hi R. You know Robson too? I doubt they can do anything about this as they will require a shell to lay the film on. They are great but to get then to fabricate a shell is going to cost both arms, legs and my family jewels.

...and the scuderia carbon fibre door sills. Actually, they are not original Ferrari carbon door sills. I sourced these from Germany and they are pure carbon, no fibreglass core at all so its almost weightless. Just need to add the Ferrari insignia. I love them.

Ok, the harnesses did not come with the shoulder pads. I sourced two pairs of plain red pads off eBay. Cost me USD$15 landed all the way from Hong Kong. Then I got four Ferrari patches, off eBay too, cost me another USD$12 landed all the way from GB. Ironed them on and VIOLA! Looks fantastic! The padding is seriously not there for wank factor. It does make it more comfortable for the driver and ESPECIALLY the passenger.

    those seats look great.

And i agree with what scott has said. Harness bar needs to be close to horizontal with your shoulders as possible to limit serious injury on impact.

Looking very sweet indeed Addict, well done, very nice upgrades indeed.

Pity your experimentation with the steering wheel didn't work out. Would have liked to see that resolved. How on earth did that other one work I wonder?

    What's next on your list?

The other one, the lucky one, is Stevely. He had his fitted by the techs at Taurino Racing. I was in touch with the tech and apparently it was a stroke of luck. Everything went plug and play and it worked. I tried swapping the entire surround with the starter and mannetino pods over and it still didn't work. I'll most likely rip the wheel off and mail it to Stef (Opps...) who will work on it with his ultra genius skills and hopefully get it to work soon.

Next? I'm toying with the idea of fitting Scuderia carbon door cards. Yes, I'll lose the stereo. But thats something that I can customise and hide at the end of the center tunnel. Plenty of space there for speakers. My Scuderia engine vents are on the way. So other than these, I guess it would be to find a way to ship in an extinguisher from Stand 21. There are so many darn red tape even their agents here can't bring it in. Same goes for Sabelt and Sparco. All their agents said "NO".

Sounds like an idea regarding the wheel!

I like the idea of the carbon door panels. I'm pretty sure there are aftermarket options that would allow you retain the speakers in original positions. You'll loose all stereo effect if you put a pair of speakers down low and centre, even if you upgrade the tweeters. That said, who needs radio anyway?

    Vents are nice.

Can't you just source a suitable sized extinguisher locally and then fabricate a suitable mount and cover?

I know I've said it before and I'm sure there's a huge cost but - 16M carbon door cards have speakers built in! Might be worth seeing what the cost difference is compared to Scud door cards?

I mentioned sometime back that I ordered the Scuderia engine vents. Yes, they arrived last week. Only managed to start the installation yesterday to realise that the factory bolts securing the 430 engine vents do not fit into the threads on the engine vents of the Scuderia. The Scuderia threads are somewhat 1mm smaller in diameter. So I checked Eurospares only to find out that the part numbers listed for 360, 360CS, 430, 430 Spider, 430 Scuderia, Scuderia 16M are all the same so its going to be pointless ordering from them.

So I went to one of the largest screw stockists around and found a stainless steel solution. Got the grlls installed and they look fantastic. Adds a tad bit more drama to the engine bay.

    Enjoy the pics.

Are you going to fit a Plexi-glass window?

They offer a worthy weight saving over the stock glass window, polycarbonate glazings weight savings are over 50%.

Plexiglas glass is definitely a plus but I wouldn't go that far. The reinforcement bars (2 pieces) cost a ridiculous £650++ each. I'd probably try to get my hands on a scuderia carbon fibre plenum.

More like carbon fuel lid. I've the cavallino badge for my fuel door but just can't seem to find the courage to drill a tiny hole for it. So I'll just buy the carbon door lid to fit the badge. Not sure how it'd look though.
