As some may have heard, approximately one year ago, during our transition period there was an incident involving a dissatisfied customer. A complaint had been filed and litigation pursued. As everyone should know there are many factors and more than one side behind every story. At the time, as with any case involving litigation, we were reluctant to comment. However, at this time we are pleased to announce that the pending case has been dismissed.
To our customers who have demonstrated their continued loyalty and support through this difficult time we are thankful. To those who have considered taking their business elsewhere we can only hope that your past experience with the Auto Legend was a positive one and that you will afford us a return visit. To future customers, we cordially invite you to drop in, tour our shop and meet Kevin. Kevin is a Certified Automotive Technician and will be happy to answer any questions you may have regarding the shop or your vehicle. The Auto Legend remains committed to providing excellent customer service. We continue to have many satisfied and repeat customers and look forward to your visit. We at the Auto Legend would like to wish everyone a Joyous and Happy Holiday Season. Thank you.

Massimo ran back to Italy... left my car to Kevin Gonzalez (KEVIN_G) without my permission... Kevin destroyed my heads on my 1998 355 trying to do an easy 30K service... Kevin and his dad Dennis Gonzalez (bought The Auto Legend from Massimo) agreed to have my car repair at Ferrari of Tampa and pay for Kevin's mistake... when my car was finished, Kevin and Dennis Gonzalez of The Auto Legend told Ferrari they have no business with them, and told Ferrari to tell me that I will have to sue them... they cost me over $13,000 in repairs... and as of today they still will not pay for their negligent work to my car… where is their business insurance?

Better Business Bureau has my complaint and agrees with me that Kevin and Dennis are not settling this issue.... BAD BUSINESS from Kevin at The Auto Legend!

When Kevin and Dennis make binding contract agreements to pay with reputational businesses such as Ferrari of Tampa Bay (and their beloved customers – as I was supposed to be) and breaks them with no conscious, then you must ask yourself, do you want an inexperience mechanic who handles customers this way working on your expensive automobile?

Well, that kinda backfired..... didn't it?

I was going to delete it because the original post was essentially 'free' advertising.

But, I think I'll just leave it alone.

All those links seem to be a review from the same person...the person who was the 2nd post here. If the OP is correct and the lawsuit was dismissed, I'd be interested in hearing their side of the story. I'm also curious as to why the lawsuit was dismissed?

I must assume that the auto rip off assumed dismissal of the law suit vindicated them. Nothing could be further from the truth. Dismissal can mean nothing more than the suit had technical flaws. I suspect bragging about such a result goes hand in hand with the type of service complained of. While I am sure there are qualified and honest independent shops, this is why I choose to deal with authorized dealers.

at least it identifies the culprits by their names in case they are doing or trying to do business somewhere else.

My wife and I had limited funds (paying our lawyer each month) to continue this case, so we ended litigation. If any (Ferrari enthusiast) attorney would like to help us, we are still interested in recovering our monies from (Kevin and Dennis Gonzalez) The Auto Legend.

    Hire Guido and Vito.
BTW, I hope that you do get satisfaction from them.

It pays to stay with Ferrari dealers or the few great non dealer shops that all true Ferrari owners know about - never use a shop that does not have a long history of success

Had no issues with Massimo. He did the engine out rebuild on my QV by the PO, which he extensively documented. Sorry to hear the shop fell into disrepair and the client's car mishandled.
