What is the market like now - What would one expect to pay for a CS with a factory stripe and say 10k or fewer miles? Is 135k realistic? Thanks
I sent you an apology.. Sorry for being thin skinned.. Happy and healthy holidays and New year george
Why would you pay $119k for a salvage titled car when nice cars could be had for $10k more? It's worth half. Don't think it will ever be worth more, own it and you'll find that out.
The CS with the salvage title has now disappeared from eBay just before the close of the auction. Last number was at $89,600. Guess the seller still thinks its worth more, but the market appears to think otherwise. Interesting.
That was my bid. Id like it for a track car to have fun with. I sent him a note to see what he will let it go for. I can buy a non-story car with <10k miles for $120-125k with little effort, so it will have to be under $100k to make sense to me.
Funny, I was thinking the same thing. It would make the perfect track car at the right price. I was a keystroke away from $90k, but didnt press send. I have a start up I want to help fund, so I held back. This time!
Gone from eBay and no longer listed in on their website inventory. Suspect it finally sold but who knows, it'll probably end up being listed for $135k by another seller shortly. LOL!
If it sold for $109k, then my car is easily worth 200k. I mean why not... factory stripe, stereo, luggage, no stories, lawn at Cavallino, 7000 miles, Led Zepplin owned... Feel sorry for the new "proud" owner and the lesson that will be learned.
Now this is more like it. Check out the miles and smiles on this puppy! 55.5k miles!!! Simply awesome. Asking $124.9k. http://www.cars.com/go/search/detail.jsp?tracktype=usedcc&csDlId=&csDgId=&listingId=80603020&listingRecNum=5&criteria=sf1Dir%3DDESC%26mkId%3D20014%26stkTyp%3DU%26rd%3D100000%26crSrtFlds%3DstkTypId-feedSegId-mkId-pseudoYear%26zc%3D95620%26rn%3D0%26PMmt%3D1-0-0%26stkTypId%3D28881%26sf2Dir%3DASC%26sf1Nm%3Dprice%26yrMn%3D2004%26sf2Nm%3Dmiles%26isDealerGrouping%3Dfalse%26yrMx%3D2004%26alMkId%3D20014%26rpp%3D250%26feedSegId%3D28705&aff=national&listType=3
Wow, now that's a true Ferrari enthusiast and driver! I wonder what stories the owner could share regarding repairs and maintenance with all those many miles driven. Outstanding!
That's what I was thinking. I have a buddy who put 34k+ miles on his CS and had very very few repairs outside of normal maintenance.
You guys should drive them more! Honestly, they drive much better and are much more reliable from being used regularly. 55k is nothing, barely worn in and probably producing more power than ever before! ... There are quite a few 360's now in the uk that have exceeded 100k miles on them and running without issues. No they didn't disintegrate...
Too many CS owners afraid of resale depreciation values, maintenance costs, and they probably think that "their" CS is a collector car already. You know them, the ones that celebrate when they read or hear about a crashed or destroyed CS... LOL!
My 2004 CS is a 3 owner car, it has just been in for 30.000 miles (29.830 miles) service with cambelt change and pulleys. Last cambelt change was in 2007 at 16.000 miles. The car drives perfect, only thing needed at the service was the 3rd brakelight switch I dont care about prices going down for a car being used for its purpose, I want to have full value for my money spend, and that is not in the garage...... You only live once, so drive them, thats what Ferrari made them for ))) Regards Thomas Image Unavailable, Please Login
I cheer when one gets wrecked. But I also drive mine. I can't think of a single Ferrari you can buy and drive right now and probably not lose a penny on it. It's a sure thing.
I knew you would chime in with regard to being jubilant when you are aware of any news of a crashed CS. lol
I think it's called a 'happy dance'! Every time there's one less...... it's called supply and demand!
....so much for the concept of this being a "brotherhood"... I guess even when enjoying a hobby which should have the effect of sweeping you away from business, certain people can't help but make it about the investment. Oh well, Baskin Robbins makes 31 flavors for a reason....
Try to untangle those panties. Let me translate for you real slow. It's called a joke...... J-O-K-E I'm sure you could find it in Wikapedia, but you might have more fun by driving. Jokes lose something when they have to be explained.
