I think that Jason's remarks were taken way too literal. Its hard to determine the meaning of typed words. We are all enthusiasts, and have different senses of humor and they way we react to positive and negative situations. I have been known to get people to laugh at funerals...... not out of disrespect or a lack of compassion. Just the way I deal with tough situations.... and I think its better to laugh than cry.

I still think its all about OUR attitude. I firmly believe that there are plenty of opportunities out the right now, and when I run across someone who likes the car and starts talking. If they are down about what's going on, I try to improve their optimism, and get them to think differently. There is no such thing as 'good times' or 'bad times', there are just different times. What worked for success yesterday, may be different for tomorrow. It's up to each one of us to maximize our own God given talents and abilities to seek out and capitalize on situations. If I can get someone to think that way..... THAT to me is compassionate.

Back to the black car. I sold it for a friend...... private sale. EU to HK

    I agree totally

Black no stripe cars are hot. One just sold here close to 150 I believe. I guess here is where I wished that was a US spec car leaving the country :). That makes em more rare.

Of all the cars I have had, I have lost the least with the Fcars, and actually come out ahead on some. It's nice when one of them doesn't have me reaching to grab my ankles over obnoxious depreciation for a change.... since I couldn't convince my Dad to buy that 250GTO I saw when I was 10....... for $4K! :)

The black car was nice, and well cared for, but it was driven.

I assume this was in the 60's. Lol

I'd bet lots of guys passed on the sub 10k gto in even the early 70's. Hindsight.

When I was 10 we had a stupid van.

It was 1969, and I believe the ad was in the Sunday NY Times. He told me I was out of my mind and a dreamer. That might have been a good call to buy...... just sayin' :)

It may have even had some accidents and paint issues!! AAAARRRGGGHHH!

We had a Honda 600 that my Dad would stuff 6 people into. The luxo cruiser was the LTD Wagon with wood sides!

Are you guys coming to Cavallino? Bring your wives and I'll take us all out to dinner and we can bury the hatchet. I gotta believe this is just internet miscommunication. I don't understand what y'all are so pissed about.

    Will you do that?

That would be awesome if you guys did that. I think that text gets beyond "lost in translation" at times. I have reread many posts before hitting submit trying to think of different ways of interpretation. Everyone reads differently. Its a fact.

Good job Jason. I like to see this. You guys are all great contributors to this community. Burying the hatchet and not the CS is a good thing! (sorry, that is the extent of my poor humor ) :)

What's Cavallino? I'm good one how doing it. I'm Sicilian anyway so we bury other things. Thanks for the gesture. I'm sure we can work it out.
Dr you can always speak for me. The old guys are always the voice of reason :)

We are headed to Idaho but the wife is driving the first leg. I'm surfing the net on my iPad and watching a movie with the kids :)

Have a great time in Idaho, Mark...glad it all worked out! Kudos to you Jason for stepping up to the plate. And like I said, your kids are truly being the adults. 50 cents per text? That could get expensive. :)

I may have missed it with all the nonsense posted the last 24 to 48 hours, but does anyone know where the Rosso Dino CS from Newport went? I am bummed I never saw it for sale.

    Thx

I was told by FoNB that it went to a good home here in SoCal. Really great car but Dino is a little too orange for my liking. It's been for sale since the summer.

The asking price was $164K. If it went anywhere near that then it would have to be one of the highest prices of the last couple of years.

Asking price started at $175k then went to $169k. I was not aware of it dropping to $164k. My guess is that it sold for close to $160k. I would be surprised if it sold below.

Very big money. Nice to see if not a rebound at least a sense of stability in the car market.

Quote above shows you "cheer" but not "cheered". Ok, just ribbing you; not a biggie. Topic change... let's talk CS market and the fact that there are less CS's on the market then any other time since I started tracking them. That alone should help stabilize prices. :)

Ok, we are there and we'll bring some Panerai's. H2O and I will take turns flogging your CS. ;)
