http://beaconnews.suntimes.com/8033118-417/chicago-area-expected-to-endure-worst-winter-weather-in-nation.html Bring it on!
Get your snow shoes and cross country skis ready. I heard from a friend of mine down at CBOE that one of the big wigs came early in the morning during our big blizzard last year on cross country skis, and had traveled a few miles on them. Now that's dedication!
Chas, Meet me at the Santa Monica Pier on New Years Day in your shorts and T shirt and we'll talk about this!
Youse guys just love rubbin' it in; DON'T YA!!!! Still stuck here in Chicagoland but don't know why I stay.
Hey, it was 42 degrees last New Years Day in Santa Monica. Hope you don't think that is shorts and T shirt weather!! Go to Florida is you want nice winter weather.
Just bought a 20K generator. Going to lite up the entire house like a Christmas Tree next time we lose power. Screw ComEd.... I say.....Bring It On!!
If the Mayan's could do it, why not us? Let's see, this can't be too difficult. Since we have had relatively mild winters........yep, time to roll the dice on a bad winter. Still a 50:50 chance AND who is going to say it wasn't "bad" with all the global climate change going on.
Yep, below average temps so far and 18 ft. of snow! <sarcasm font> If this weather keeps up, I'm going to have to cut the grass again!
Just wait Johnny, it will hit us big and I mean BIG! Just give it time and we'll be singin' the Blues! Sparky
Its supposed to get cold next week and then warm back up again. Nothing showing yet until mid to late January. It was like this in 1999/2000. Atleast when we do get hit its rare to get a huge 12+ snow fall like on the east coast. I remember New York City getting 3 huge storms as big as our February storm in 1 year a couple of years back. Yet all they do is look at our bad weather. They should look in their own back yard! Noreaster loves them
And I remember when I lived in Buffalo there was a blizzard every week. Thank God I was a kid and I loved it!!
