    I thought this interview to be something of note apart from the usual banter. Alonso essentially states if he had any one driver to compete against, his choice would be Schu. That is really saying something considering the guys Alonso has raced against let alone the drivers history has provided for us. Clearly the drivers know a lot more about Schumacher than we do.

    Hah. No, that would never happen.

    It's interesting how there is absolutely no hesitation nor has there even been any hesitation about Alonso's position on who his 'arch nemesis' on the track will always be though. Alonso is dicing with Vettel, Hamilton and others etc. Interesting stuff

    No surprise here. He dethroned MS, but he does respect their efforts and history. Its a major jewel in FA's crown. They are tied together with this history. They have the same driving style and are both a bit dirty but in a competitive way that ruthless champs share.

    You have to hand it to Schumacher - to be out there dicing it up and still relativley competitive... if he were in a Red Bull.... Vettel would have had a much harder time this year.... I think Schumacher is pumped up by success... all it takes is one win and I think the old form would be back.

    Don't you guys realize that in 99% of sports, over 40 yrs old and you are washed up?

    The ONLY THING one has over youngsters is experience and that is JUST NOT ENOUGH in almost all sports, especially those that require incredable reaction and anticipation reflexes.


    If you have not hit about 35-37 yrs old, you have not hit your first wall yet. When you do, all your RA RA for the dinosaur Schummi will be highly tempered.

    Then why did he beat every other F1 driver at the Race of champions this year? Including Vettel. On a short tiny tiny track like that with a tiny twitchy car reaction times are every bit as important as in an F1 car. I'm not saying he's as good as ever but he's certainly good enough to whip up on these kids. Look at his reaction times in Canada for crying out loud. Had it kept raining, that race was HIS.

    If the car is right, you're on sir. The last time I bet like this I was at the Hofbrauhaus in Las Vegas with two German girls in town for Oktorberfest. I won a TON of beer. Can't tell you what the bet was though :)
