What is the historical significance of 1120148? I haven't seen that one before.

1120148 is Walter Wolf's second LP400 Countach, and the first to be modified by Dallara with features Lamborghini would later adopt to create the LP400S. Those modifications include the parallel link suspension, the 345mm rear tires, the fender spats and the wing.

    Yes You are correct Joe,
The spats are too shiny... and the wheels too.
Too bad the original F1 steering wheel is not there.

Detailer extrordinaire Todd Helme had a chance to detail 1121086 recently during a marathon work session that included a number of interesting cars. I am glad to see this Low Body featured in the linked thread below from a detailer focused website; and thanks to the current owner (and Fchat member) of these fine cars for sending me the link.

Fun article to read as well.

    Brand new 1978 P7s anyone? :)

Blinkers, yeah we've seen this car before.
Where is this collection located? He's got some cool cars, including that detomasso car.

Love the fact that amongst all these cars, the countach is singled out for extreme caution when detailing and has a special place in the owners heart! There really is something special about the Countach, it cant really be described you either get it or you dont :)

Did I communicate my lust of the Mangusta to you? As much as a POS this car is mechanically, I find this design outstanding.

Wow!!! I remember that car! It was featured in a German magazine Sport Fahrer Juni 1980. It then had Japanese registration plates, but was owned by a dealer called Schenk in Frankfurt. The car was also at a very early ILOC meeting, with these dealer plates from Frankfurt. Great to finally know wich car this is! Ciao! Marcello

Yes you did. When I tried to buy the 8th Espada and they had that Mangusta too. All not far from your home town in France.

I seem to recall his price is $2000 per car plus his airfare, plus his lodging (if you do not have a bed for him)

Marcello, am lost : in one corner of my brain, there is something noted like : this is a fake WW car, that later on was turned back into the LP400 it had always been. Light Grey, owner living in the Nederlands.

Indeed. This car was discussed at length earlier in the thread, with an argument of sorts arising about the provenance of the modifications ie; factory modified or privately done.

I have to admit I don't know much about the "geese". What is the story on the Spyder? Factory design exercise or did they market that model? Very unique look. Where is that car today?

Not a fake WW car, never pretended to be that, just one of the many LP400 cars that got modified with wings and spoilers. Indeed brought back original LP400 livery by owner Lars-Erik from Sweden, not The Netherlands. Cheers, Marcello
