I used Jason when he was still detailing cars and he did a great job. I found Ivan Rajic who is just outstanding. He will come to your house if that is what you need or he has a place in Schaumburg (sp). He works on my 458, BMW and Porsche and details my friend numerous Ferrari's.

    His contact information is:

    [email protected]
    Phone number is 773-715-4198

Give him a try, I think you will be impressed in the care he takes with each car he works on.

Thanks a lot for the kind words Gary & Vinod (I think it's Vinod, correct?)!

I'll look forward to hearing from you other guys... I'll be available most of the day tomorrow and Monday on the phone. Otherwise back at the shop Tuesday.

In any case, happy new year to all here!

Thought it was you. Happy new year my friend!

I work in Hoffman Estates out of a shop called Underground Autosports. It's on the south west corner of Golf and Roselle.

As for how much, it depends on the work to be done. Exterior can range from $125 for a Protection Detail to upwards of $720 for actual paint correction. As for interior, I'm usually doing either a basic interior detail with no shampoo work for $30+ or Leatherique Treatment.

Best would be if you could shoot me an email so I can send you a template I send to all new clients, outlining my process, pre-detail assessment as well as services/price list for your specific vehicle. [email protected]

I have Continental detail my cars. They know the cars the best, and have access to all the paint colors for Ferrari & Maserati. Plus, they always have discounts on their website.

How do you like the results? Has an individual quality detailer worked on your vehicle before so you can compare?

I'm asking as it would be great as well as surprising if such a place as Continental performed quality automotive detailing instead of just doing a quick wax job or horrible polishing work. A client on here received a brand new Ferrari from a well known local exotics dealer and it required close to 25 man hours to correct to perfection. Part of the work was defects from the factory such as holograms and sanding marks, but a good 2-2.5hrs was spent removing wax from all the crevices and clear bra edges, all of which happened at the dealer! As I said above, I have seen this for years now but still can't believe how they treat $200k+ cars.

In any case, I'd be pleased to hear that Continental does great detail work because spending 15-20+ hrs on exotics is getting tiring :).

What does "They know the cars the best, and have access to all the paint colors for Ferrari & Maserati" have to do with detailing a car in a proper manner?

Just thinking an independent may do the best detail since that's all they do and pride themselves on their craft.

Anyone who thinks the dealer is the best place to go for all services is unfortunately wrong!

They know the cars, meaning they work on/in them everyday. They have repaired scraps under the front bumper for me from steep driveways, and repair wheel rash. Install 3M stoneguard. Neither Ferrari nor Maserati sell touch up paint, so if you have any rock chips, or road rash behind tires they would be able to repair that properly without going through an expensive body shop.
I'm not trying to take away from the job that any independent does. I was simply offering another option that has worked for me. Continental has never left me unhappy with any service work or detailing work.

    All the best

Not trying to diminish the quality of Continental's work as I've known John and Lisa for many years and and have done business with Continental for decades.

As far as mechanical aspects you may be right, but when it comes to detailing a car......I think all know what i mean.

Just sayin' there are good alternatives.

Todd is a good colleague and friend of mine. He is someone I am in touch with frequently and someone who is an easy role model. Always something to learn from our conversations and he definitely does amazing work.

He's actually the one that put me in touch with Gary above to work on the 458, and as already mentioned, a good 25 hours went into removing caked in wax applied by the dealer and paint correction.

Since Todd started working with the Ferrari shop in Ohio (as you can see on his website), he's seen quite a few brand new Ferraris, as well as those detailed by a dealership. Each and every time he has a new "you won't believe what they did this time!". It's the unfortunate truth, here in Chicagoland and around the US, which is why I was actually hoping Continental put the time and experience into these cars as Todd, I or a handful detailers around the country do. Still hoping that's the case, but from the few replies here it doesn't seem likely :(.
