Short piece on ProCoach (Peter Krause, frequent fchat poster and S2000 racer) on p 81 of the February issue of GM, explaining how he conducts sim training sessions. I've worked with Peter - for example, he sourced and installed the AIM system in my 430 C - and have come to think of him as a friend so, yes, I'm biased. Good guy.

I had no idea you iRaced! I live half my life in iRacing because I can't afford the real thing. From the few chances I've had to drive cars on tracks, I know it works. Good to see you agree. :)

Speaking of iRacing did anyone else see where they took a guy thats supposed to be the fastest iRacing guy whom never drove even a street car and put him thru Skippy's cars including time in a Formula Mazda? Kid did great considering being zero time and at the end was within 3 seconds of the fastest guy in the group with the kid doing 1:24's at Road Atlanta

If you'd said 3 hundredths or even tenths I'd be impressed. 3 seconds is virtually an "age" over an 84 sec lap.

It's still pretty damn good for someone who has never driven on a track in a race car before, and a tribute to how well the simulator can prepare you. I can personally attest to this when I drove Road Atlanta for the first time. It was my first time on track. It was also my first time driving a fast car. I probably did over 500 laps on the simulator to prepare. When I got there it was a surreal experience. The telephone poll, road markings, everything was familiar to me. Here is a clip of me driving. You be the judge: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ADPk9lXO4Ys[/ame] All I can say is, thank you iRacing, because I didn't kill myself.
