    anyone know what it takes to import to the u.s.? it's not the nightmare it used to be, is it?

    in theory it shouldn't be, if the car is 30 years...but i'd be willing to bet that it still is...a nightmare, i mean.

    there are options on this side of the pond if you're in the market.

    btw, it looks like a beautiful BB you have there Bill...i need to get my hands on the Forza edition that featured it so i can get a better look at her.

    As the car is a 1982 model and therefore over 25 years old, it is exempt from EPA and other federal safety, bumper and theft prevention standards. Check out forms HS-7 and 3520-1. You should have no problem importing the car. How do I know this? Because I recently imported my 1982 Caterham Seven, which did cause me some problems with registering in Massachusetts but not with the actual importation.
