Does anyone know a supplier for a front splitter that is not carbon fiber? I don't need or want to leave it unfinished. I want to paint it so fiberglass or anything else would be fine. I tried with no luck to find one. Any help would be appreciated even if someone had an extra :)

Thanks for the help. I contacted them and I will see what happens.

In the mean time I would love to see that plywood version.

It's cool! When Plugzit comes around the corner real fast you can smell burning wood:)

The previous owner put a 1/2" thick black plastic lip under the front of my car. I like the look of it. My front bumper is currently off and at the body shop for repaint to get rid of stone nicks. I just bought the replacement HDPE piece to renew the skid protection lip and the plastic cost me about $40.00. I will use the old one as a pattern and make a new piece like the previous one. I'd be happy to share the pattern if you want. I could make a second if interested. It mounted with several screws through the underside of the fiberglass lip. My car is an SS but did not have the additional lip that I see on some other SSs.

I bought a board of 1/4" thick white vinyl at home Depot used for window trim. It's rough wood look on one side, but smooth on the other side except for some shallow lines along the length. Easy to cut with a jig saw
Then a roll of stick-on carbon fiber look tape from Autozone, a couple of coats of clear clearcoat on top of that and you're done.
The materials cost so little, if you crunch it on a speed bump, you can make another one with no tears.

APR has the pattern I had them custom make for my carbon splitter. However this is a real splitter and you need a rear wing to make the car driveable. This is not for street use.

Well, not exactly plywood. I used aluminum, but I woulda used plywood if I'd thought about it, then coated it with carbon fiber tapeover. The smell of burning wood when cornering!!!! :D

I was wondering when you were gonna catch this. :D

Mine is plywood, needs replacing but was on the car when I bought it so I will use it as a template for a new one.

Why would it be undriveable without a rear wing?

    All the best,
    Andrew.

My guess is because it creates so much down force in the front that you need the rear wing to balance the car out. The rear of the car without the rear wing would be very lite.

Maybe too much front downforce inducing extra oversteer?

How wide would it have to be to balance out the front lift and not have a rear wing?
