Tom Fowler at OPM is really good and local. Have been to both MVP and Chin and really like Chin.

Peter, was there something you didn't like about MVP?

I've been to a number of their events, and I'm friends with Mark from St Louis; I'm sure he'd appreciate feedback if there's something amiss.

I've attended events with Mark and Maria at Chin for awhile and their format is more conducive (and productive) for my coaching clients and our program together. I think they're well organized and the traffic density is the best of any of these groups, except possibly DMTR or Group 52.

Mark Pfeffer and MVP are fine, but bombing every e-mail list and forum with ads and event announcements (without being a sponsor on ANY of them) did not impress and left a bad taste in my mouth. His instructor corps are his buddies, not vetted as well as Chin, again in my opinion. I saw more incidents at his events than at Chins. Just my .02

NASA SE does a fair number of events at Road Atlanta as well. Fun track...keep your wits about you as you enter T12!

Yep. Been racing there for 28 years and it's the only place I've had some really big hits...

Won a bunch of races there, but tore up stuff, too.

I explain to my clients that it's the only place I go that has 8-12 ft tall concrete walls less than 50 ft from the track surface and about 85% of the lap distance around...

It was designed to keep the pro sports car racers out of the spectator areas. It does do that.

For enthusiasts and club level drivers, it deserves to be treated with respect. There is little margin.

BTW, T1 and T12 are two of my favorite corners of ALL time... :D
