Happy New Year everyone! Scuderia Southwest invites you to our monthly Cars & Coffee on Saturday January 7th. Please note the Winter start time is 9:00AM. As usual we'll gather at the Shops at Gainey Village located on the southeast corner of Scottsdale & Doubletree Ranch Rd. This is an informal gathering of auto enthusiasts. Following Cars & Coffee, Pit Stop Auto Detailing is holding a Customer Appreciation day and BBQ lunch
Whoa, 9AM the other thread, 410SA said 8AM. The Pit Stop thing starts at 9AM, as it says in the other thread.
I believe the 9AM cars and coffee time to be correct. Our special event at pit stop starts at that time but for those who are going to C&C will come afterwards. We will fire up the grill at 1030ish. Hope to see you there! MM
The non-leadership of Scuderia Southwest decided yesterday to have a 9AM start, but participants arrive whenever they like! The Pit Stop open house and BBQ event runs 9AM- 3PM making it a great place to go for brunch/lunch after Cars & Coffee.
I've been a bit tied up through 2011, but I finally did make it back out this time. What a turnout! The place was overflowing. Here's some highlights... Great shots Dave! It was nice to see you out there again. A quick estimate put the turnout at 300+ cars! I saw allot of the usual suspect carparazzi out there. Don't be shy, lets see those pics!
I thought I saw you there, but wasn't 100%, you had a M3 convertible right? Also, What is the last red car, the convertible, is it an Intermechanica? Not sure I spelled that correctly though. Here's the only picture I have so far. Enjoy! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Oh man, I am SO bummed I had to leave 2 days before this!! A 250 GT California and a 365 GTB/4?? Amazing! Ahh well, I luckily have family in AZ that I visit a couple times a year. I will hopefully meet you guys at some point! Chris
I only took a few photos, here are my favorites. Cheers Jim Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
very nice! Notice the reflection of the bugatti in the door glass on the interior shot. I'd rather have the boxer. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
In my opinion, the star of the day. Incredible in person. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
+1. I would love to drive the Veyron because of its speed, but it's like an overplayed song on the radio. I've seen them so many times. That's what makes the Boxer more exiting to see, and I like its design better than the Veyron. Chris
Sadly, it looked like you are right, so I went hunting for the source. I have a standardized post processing workflow script that I use to prep pictures for publication. Part of it amps up the saturation, as that is a part of the look I'm going for. The origin of the color shift was a camera setting. I was doing some portraiture last with this camera body, and had selected a 'picture style' of portrait (a Canon term, Nikon users would call this 'picture control.') This selection bumps up the reds (along with other colors,) which when fed into my standard flow resulted in what you saw. I went to the raw file, exported the picture with my normal settings and ran the post script again. The result is shown here. Still not reality (as that is not what I intend,) but in line with my standard 'look.' Good catch! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Those who arrived at 9.00am had to park across the road in Paradise Valley We've done this for years boys. Sunup is when cars start rolling in
Yes, the M3 was there, but not clean so I didn't park it prominently. Sorry I didn't see you. I have no idea what the last car was, it had no badges and looks a bit kit-car like. That said, I liked the body with the exception of the headlight treatment (too Datsun 240z-ish.) It had a small-block Ford for power. Looks light, probably goes like a bat out of hell until the first corner.
This Miura is fantastic, but XK-SS. :O Wish I could've made it out. Thanks for posting some pics, fellas.
Yikes, I missed some amazing metal! [note to self - almost tempting to get up a bit earlier on saturdays...] More pics!!!
