    Hi

Here is 1120228, which is a 1976 LP400 returned to the factory in 1980 for an respec to LP400S spec.

This is a UK RHD car - one of six LP400s imported into the UK. There are at least 17 RHD LP400 in the world, including the Australian and Japanese ones.

Which one is the silver one on the cover of January 1976 Car Magazine?

Add 122,206, 260,262 and 274> I believe these are all the RHD manufactured LP400, which makes a total of 17. Any missed off or any incorrect?

Thanks everyone. I have the good fortune of having the trust of other "Enthusiasts" and because of that have experienced some incredible cars from many marques.
There are several others on Enthusiasttv on youtube, but I will post just the Lambo vids in the Video thread.

Just a guess, but with the parked cars
Outside the building having their left wheels
To the curb and the bicycle against green
Painted railing, not USA, a left hand drive
Country? But the G on the showroom is LHD.
I know of NO Dealer in the USA that would
Display that and not have it for sale

I've seen dealerships do that before, why is it that they would have cars on display, but not for sale?

    Chris:

Here is the thing: a Lamborghini dealership is only too pleased to stick a heritage car in the showroom window as eye-candy to facilitate the owner's subsequent collection after it has been serviced there or attended an event there. After all, it draws interest in the current cars they are trying to sell. Free advertising for the heritage of the marque, if you like. Makes sense, right? In fact, to prove this point, I have personally left both a Ferrari F40 and an Lamborghini Countach at authorized dealers for an extended period for one logistical reason or another over the years (& have done same for numerous clients of mine). The only response I have ever elicited from the dealer has been: "only too happy to do it". In fact at least one client of mine has a Ferrari Supercar collection that lives at the dealership as permanent eye-candy. He has no ownership stake in the dealership, he is just a good customer, and those cars of his draw a lot of people into the showroom.

The notion that this does not happen is just plain silly, and a point of view borne entirely of guesswork and ignorant of any given set of circumstances.

In this case, I am told, the Countach QV belongs to a mega-enthusiast who loaned it to the dealer for a driving event which included the launch of the Lamborghini Aventador in Tokyo, Japan.

All the images were taken the same day on November the 13th 2011 by Daisuke K.

FWIW this is not the first time this car has been posted upon this thread, previously shown as lent by the owner to a Tokyo motor show. I guess he loves to have it shown...

    Hopes this helps.

Ahh ok, I didn't realize that those were privately owned cars.

At our local Ferrari dealership (Cauley Ferrari), there is a local owner who has his 599 SA Aperta on display in the showroom, and previously his Enzo. That makes sense, because people are putting their cars away for the season in Michigan, and those 2 will create a LOT of attention.

On the other hand, there are 2 cars there that are "display only, not for sale," and those are a Ferrari 328 and a Maserati Merak. Very cool cars, but not exactly the attention grabbing one's.

I was in Arizona recently, and I saw a Koenigsegg in the service area of the Ferrari dealership. I was told that they never have that car on display in the showroom, because it "brings too much attention." Understandable for a car that rare that is over $1 million.

Sorry I didn't clarify the location, I missed your first question.

    Japan, of course.

Speaking of Japan, here are the faithful gathered at Fuji Speedway not 2 months ago. Enjoy.

Exactly. It happens in the USA all the time..

By the way, I was only referring to the Countach. The other cars beside it are likely dealer inventory for sale.

    You said:

"I know of NO Dealer in the USA that would

You are WRONG. USA dealers display private cars in their showroom window all the time. FACT. That's my point :)

Relax man. You get worked up too easily.
