A tiny car with a tiny engine, but Jim Clark driving the first one at the Nurburgring outpaced Ferraris, Porsches, and many much larger sports cars by such a margin the crowd thought Clark was trailing the pack. I had this one for ten years before I quit racing a few years ago. It was such a joy to drive, non-synchro Hewland box and all. It was QUICK. The philosophy is quite different from Ferrari - the emphasis was chassis and suspension, rather than the engine. That won them more manufacturer's GP awards than Ferrari when they were in F1. A nice contrast and complement to Ferrari in a garage, actually, these little green cars. Image Unavailable, Please Login

That's really nice! Always loved those cars - There is an 06 GranSport LE at FoD that keeps calling my name.... Just the checkbook ain't answering! Nice car!
You've go the right formula - Ferrari and Porsche, I think the two best sports car makers around and really no other company comes close with engineering, racing and passion. People argue over which is better, to me having both is better. Is that 550 real? How do you like it?
Thank you. No the 550 is a 356 frame/ title. 914 engine. Built by some guy in California. Its extremely light and loud so it's not driven much. I will say after owning it I wouldn't buy a real one. Tho fun for a bit it beats you to death on long drives. Very popular car tho. It's only been driven 3 times in as many years. I'm in my 356c cab most of the summer.
