We are using a DynoJet 2WD dyno, and once the car rolls on the dyno roller (front wheels not rotating), it switches to Sport mode, and sets the rev limiter at 8,200 rpm down from 8,500rpm. We want to get a full run to redline, but 4WD dynos are too far away.

Is there a sequence to activate dyno mode (some states in U.S. require a car on the dyno for emission control test)?

    Thanks

Fabspeed would be a good place to start. They just did a Scuderia not to long ago with full exhaust. Would be curious what they say.

Sent you a PM, would be nice if you responded.

Perhaps he didn't like the tone of your PM if the post is anything to go by! :)

When I dynode my F430 spider, we just had it on CST off position.

    It worked fine!

I set it to CST-OFF, pulls done in 5th gear (closest to 1:1 ratio in the Scuderia), still upshifts by itself at 8,200rpm.

During the first dyno pull, the car enters e-diff error, a few seconds after the dyno pull the car switches to Sport mode and does not accept changes in the manettino. Once off of the dyno, and driven for 50 yards, the electronics come back to normal.

My car has been on a dyno 6 different days, one in 2009, 1 day in 2010, 2 days in 2011, 2 days in 2012. Last 5 days on the same dyno (dynojet), same place.

On a AWD this problem would not happen, because all wheels are moving, but my baseline information has all been done in the 2WD dynojet.

    Thanks

Was just trying to be helpful, no harm intended and he did give me some great advice with his PM reply.

Hopefully he will get the dyno issue figured out.

I asked the guys who run our dyno, and they said we had the same problem. All of our dyno graphs stop around 8250 rpm. It would be nice to know if there is a way around this.

Sounds frustrating. I'm confused though - did you have the same issues when it was done previously?
