A dealer sent this 'proactively' to my private mail account. He asks $148K for this '72 EU Dino in Azzuro California which he most probably won't get in the foreseeable future. The tragic in here is that he would probably get even more than that if the restoration, well, see for yourself... If you don't spot at least twenty things gone wrong, you need to read Matthias Compendium again :)

    I can't count 20 in those pics.

    I see

    1. Pininfarina badge wrong side
    2. head light covers
    3. possibly incorrect tires
    4. wrong steering wheel and hub
    5. seats incorrect
    6. shift knob incorrect
    7. right door panel very incorrect
    8. carpet not correct
    9. dash not correct
    10. left door cut for speaker
    11. pedals incorrect (I think)
    12. console not black

Engine bay looks fine to me.

    what else is wrong?

    Nothing ~$20,000 can't fix.

The restoration was made in the Czech Republic I've heard, maybe Matthias has to translate the Dino Bible in this language...

    13. I can't see it, but I KNOW this baby has a fake horse emblem on its ass.

P.S. Whoever stuck that steering wheel on deserves to be pissed on.

IMHO, I think the steering wheel is the least offensive "modification" to the interior.

Dang you guys are fast.. Uro and Julio got a lot right off the bat. Engine compartment is missing some lables (15) and I'm not sure the plug wires are correct (16) I'll keep looking. As stated, these things can be fixed for some $$$s
(#11) Yes... very incorrect (#6) shift knob looks like scheet and please, please, put the correct steering wheel on this car.

What is the chassis number? Let's make sure it is a true 1972. Still working on 20.... (17) overflow tank should be black, not silver.

    18. Azzuro California is not a Dino color. :)

    P.S. Great thread.

Not in my opinion, because while the other modifications are plain ugly (very) and offensive (also very), the steering wheel actually belongs somewhere. On the right (original) car, it's heaven, but here it's a perversion!

    19. Footrest incorrect and repugnant, unless you consider the footrest a pedal.

I counted that in with the go lever and brake... but it is worth its own number. :)

Although not correct, the color looks good on a Dino.

Of course, any color looks good on a Dino. :)

Oops, How did I miss that??? I guess my eyes are going bad too. I was too distracted by the incorrect steering wheel to even look at the horn button... duh

Congrats to all. I have a few things to correct on my Dino (Dinoplex, removal of USA side markers, cavalino and "Ferrari" script on the butt, I need a correct period radio and need to install my steering wheel and outside rearview mirror) Thankfully, my car is very correct. Helps to own it since 1984.

Yes, and amen. But the really dark ones, in my opinion, hide some of the beauty. Of course, the color doesn't affect the pleasure of just touching one of those two delicious bumps...
