Thanks to the incredable wealth of information on ths site, I decided to attempt to do the major service on my car from cam belts to chain tensioners. There were some surprises just getting started, so I decided to video the interesting parts on the off chance they might help the next person attempting the same.
So if you're about to do your first major, or wondering what's involved, check this out: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FpFnNurzzQI[/ame] or just search Youtube for "Ferrari 348 engine cam belt change" There are 3 parts that are being uploaded covering the disassembly stage. Now I'm waiting for parts to arrive. Let me know if this was helpful or not, so I'll know if I should bother filming the re-assembly when they arrive.
Again, I wouldn't or couldn't have even contemplated doing this myself had it not been for all the information on this site. The epic stories from Brandon and Portogts with numerous bits of sage advice from Dave Helms were worth their weight in gold.

Extremely clear video, I was able to see the timing marks you were pointing out. I would suggest you continue to video your steps both for your own reference as well as others.
    Thanks for sharing.

OUTSTANDING! This is great information. Looking forward to completion. I love it when average guys work on their cars. Goodluck. Post any problems, they will be adressed quickly, I'm sure.

Your video is awesome!!! I could see the cam marks perfectly. You have actually given me added confidence that I can manage this project myself.

I'll be doing a cam belt replacement on a 99 355, I'd imagine they are fairly similar.

Please continue to make the videos and please make them as detailed as possible. I will be using them as part of my guide.

That was great! Thanks for inviting us into your garage. I just watched all 3 parts. They were inspiring. The F-car DIYer needs more videos like this. It was informative, entertaining and much more interesting than scantily clad girls driving around. There should be a series for other models as well.

    I LOVE IT!!!!!!

Out-fricking-standing! This is just fantastic, and will encourage other owners to do their own engine out service. You my friend have graduated to "Stooge" status. What a fantastic contribution for the 348 Brotherhood!!!

    BRAVO!

Very cool! I was thinking of setting up 2cameras and doing a still motion type vid. One right over the motor and one on the side. Take 1pic every couple of mins. If I can get that done would any one care to see it.

This is the best video I have ever seen on fchat. This has been very informative, as I plan to do the major on my 355. The video quality is awesome, and the dialogue is also very clear, and perfectly explained, very calm. Please continue videoing, I am sincerely looking forward to viewing the assembly process.

    Regards

Best. Video. Ever. Really well done. Well edited, and great content.

It occurred to me a few years ago, that the difference between a Clymer manual and instructions from a forum member, is that the forum member will tell you "here's where I started breaking sh*t." A repair manual is never going to give you the good stuff the way a forum member will.

    Great stuff!

One mistake on 1st video: the modified socket to get the cam drive wheel ring nut off is 15/16th's, Not 5/16's as stated in the video. Must not have had my reading glasses on...
