Yes, how proud must he have been of this car, the Miura, that bore his name. Did he own any other Miuras as well as the SV with eyelashes? Marcello Gandini must have been equally as proud. Did or does he too own a Miura?

Shame about the link not working. Would have been good to see. If the car has the prototype headlight surrounds??? it must be an early SV and as it's an Italian film the car was likely supplied in Italy so could be 4840 which was red and blue when new, 4872 or 4884??? I just looked up the early red and blue SVs from the factory register in "The Lamborghini Miura Bible".
Here a pictures of a beautiful Miura I had the pleasure of riding in six years ago. Owned by a very nice owner of classic cars. My pleasure. It really was a treat. Within a short time I got rides in a Diablo, a Countach and this Miura, and it was very interesting to experience the difference in wildness. Compared to a Miura the Diablo is downright civilized. I felt very privileged to ride in a piece of automotive history.
Hello Jonas, Miura SV Video. Thank you very much for posting information of "La Prima Notte Di Quiete", the extracts of which I have enjoyed watching very much on youtube. I didn't know about this film before your post and I have read that this is a cult film and understandably so as it has Alain Delon, who must be the coolest movie star of all time? as its main star along with beautiful female co stars, and a Lamborghini Miura P400SV, which in 1972 was the fastest and most beautiful production road car on the planet, as well as a Ferrari 330GTC. I've even read that the story is excellent too. Films can't get much better than this. I must look for a DVD copy with English subtitles. Somebody must know which SV this is? Red with Blue Leather and Cloth interior, Air Con? and SV prototype type headlight surrounds? Italian film so may be Italian supplied? Thanks again. Kind regards, Steve Robertson.
Thanks, Joe. #4864, production 621, engine 30609 supplied to Foitek Stemort on 12.5.71. Is that because only the first few SVs had the prototype SV headlight surrounds and they are the lowest numbers on the register? I had seen #4864 on the register in your book but thought it may not be the car as it was supplied to Foitek in Germany?
Foitek is located in Zurich, Switzerland, he was a long time dealer for Ferrari and Lamborghini that time, he sold several cars to Germany, for sure two of them to stemort. 4864 1971 30609 Red Blue Prod. #621 was completed 12.5.1971 for Dealer Foitek's client Stemort 4916 1971 30649 Red Blue Prod. #655. 12 Aug 1971. Air conditioning. Originally to Foitek, Stembord. Bertone records show Rosso corsa with blue leather and blue cloth inserts.
Do we know what cars have these headlight surrounds? Are they the first SVs? 4758 has them -- Gooding proclaimed it as the prototype last year. And the price suggests many believe it. 4856, also claimed to be a prototype, doesn't If SVs were special order Miuras, it makes sense the first ones were interspersed with late S's. From my 5 seconds research, this seems to be the case. So many questions... Bottom line. What were the first, say, 6 SVs, and did they have 4758's headlight surrounds?
Its the only possibility with the matching livery. Bear in mind that a car delivered for example to Foitek (Zurich Switzerland, actually) can easily be re-routed shortly after delivery to another country, or in fact provided for the movie. Italian plates will be fakes for the movie.
The first dozen SVs. 4856 was a P400 living in America that was sent back to the factory in early 1973 and converted to SV. In the 80s it was mis-characterized as a "prototype" and its connections have hung on to that concept ever since.
Yes, it's quite logical that it could have been rerouted from Switzerland but why couldn't the car possibly be 4840, 4872 or 4884 as these were also Rossa Corsa/Bleu? I do remember you saying previously that the first 12 had the prototype type headlight surrounds but the register sequence isn't a true indication of which SVs were the first 12 if you understand where I'm coming from, or is it?
