Some images of our FF, having escaped winter for balmy Florida. Thanks to Vittorio and Michele at the Atelier in Maranello. Most of all to an exceptional dealer Ferrari of Denver, Mark and Derek, your support and expertise is much appreciated. Color is Grigio FF/Testa Di Moro/Beige Chiaro stitching. Congratulations! Really looks fantastic, the interior is especially nice, gives the car a very bespoke look and to me looks so classy, very fitting for the luxury supercar that the FF is. Looking forward to the driving review!
So how useful is the rear seat? Can average adult squeeze behind the driver perhaps or would you say small children only?
its really tight...they say 6 ft plus people can sit back there but i think that if u have 4ft people in the front...
I was playing online with the build tool and built this almost identical one. I love the way it looks. Grigio is a great match for that interior. I would also like to see it in Bianco Italia. Such a nice vehicle. Congrats. Run her like she deserves to be ran... J
Thanks for the kind comments. Front camera has dual lens, straight ahead and wide angle for both sides. Is it worth it, probably not. I got them for a particular difficult garage entry.
I have never liked 2 door, 4 seat coupes irrespective of ease of entry. My FF has auto sliding front seats etc but it is tight for any normal adult. Most unlikely in my time of ownership they will be ever used. My goal was to be able to carry stuff for vacations and the folding rear seats open up to place luggage and 2 Brompton bikes.
The more I see the car the more I am starting to like it. I think the color combo is gorgeous. Congrats and enjoy
Congratulations, that's one of the most tasteful colour combos I can think of. If I had to spec an FF for me, it shouldn't be very different. How would you compare Grigio FF to other medium metallic greys like Ferro, Titanio, etc? I'm not getting to see much of these in the metal to be able to compare. Also, how would you compare Testa di Moro to Cioccolatto?
Grigio FF is in between Titanio and Silverstone. It has a wonderful tinge of brown gunmetal in it. Is it worth the difference to Silverstone, probably not. Testa Di Moro is one of the semi aniline choices, a very buttery soft luggage like leather. More grain and slightly darker brown than Ciocolatto, is it worth the difference, probably not. However the whole effect is sublime if understated. A very 50's/60's trans European gran tourer when journey's by car were still an adventure. Forza Asturia y Alonso !
Thanks for your reply! By your description of Grigio FF, it can't be very different from Grigio Ferro Met. Have you had the chance of seeing this one in the metal? If so, I would still like to know how both compare. My impression (only by pictures, sadly) is that they are very, very similar shades.
Congratulations, Cariad!! Your FF is gorgeous and very tastefully specced. I just returned tonight from Atlanta, where I had the pleasure of driving the FF from Saturday until today. I had to laugh when seeing your photos, Cariad, because I spent over an hour with the configurator at F of Atlanta trying to decide between Cioccolato and Testa di Moro! Thank you for posting the pics! The FF is a game changer. It's absolutely light years ahead of any other car I've ever driven. I don't know how they managed to blend comfort, excitement, refinement, road handling, etc, so seamlessly into one package. I could not believe the grip levels with only 245's up front and 295's in back. It literally felt like 350's all around! The dual clutch gear changes are magical. The seats have very long thigh support and may be the most comfortable I've ever used, in any car. The AWD drive is imperceptible compared to my 993TT, with extraordinary grip. I was actually able to rest my hand on the engine's air intake after a 30" drive. It was barely warm. I've never seen an engine dissipate heat that well. I'm still soul searching on purchasing the FF, or trading the F430 on a 458, or waiting for the 599 replacement. The exterior looks of the FF, particularly the side profile, really divided opinion among my friends and family. Personally, I thought it was pretty and masculine in person, and form follows function. Everyone loved the interior. It's a huge improvement on my 430. My buddy is 6'5" tall, and was able to sit comfortably in front, but my 5'3" daughter was pretty boxed with respect to leg room behind him. Not bad for a 30" ride, though. There is plenty of room front and back with average sized passengers. My tall friend had plenty of head room up front. Some interesting factoids from the FF press book: An optional panoramic roof is available (although I would stick with leather). Bianco Italia, Grigio Ferro Met, Blu America, Grigio Abu Dhabi, Rosso Maranello, and Verde British Racing are model specific colors. The optional lifters raise the car by 40 mm at speeds up to 30 km/hour. The car was designed for up to 6'4.7" tall passengers front and 6'1" rear. The FF chassis is 10% lighter, and 6% more torsionally rigid, than "the previous generation" (612?). Coefficient of drag is 0.329 The 3rd generation CCM brake pads are estimated to last 7-8 times longer than those of the previous generation. I'm still trying to get my mind around this car, on so many levels. Wow.
