Link to the Photo's I took and the video hope you like them! The 599 Aperta is STUNNING! As is the FF! http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.250827704987836.55740.195204423883498&type=3 [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uk7SFIZp-X4&feature=g-upl&context=G2eb93a0AUAAAAAAAAAA[/ame]
Thanks for the video. That was the first FF and Aperta I've seen in person and they both looked good. I'm glad that Harris Imports takes the time to bring some of their great cars to the show. And sorry Sean for not picking up my tickets, I stopped by the dealership around 3:45 but it was locked up. I was hoping Toyota/Subaru would have their new rwd sports coupe there but they didn't. Also no Porsche this year but Mercedes was back after a 2-3 year absence.
I don't remember the last time Porsche was at the show. Someone kick Strong and Garff in the nuts and get their acts together.
Glad you liked the video! I for one have seen the FT-86 Concept in person and was very disappointed of the release of the SCION / Subaru. Strong Porsche needs to contact owners to bring down the GT! I for one would love to put that on display if I owned it
Last time I saw them at the show, some woman was changing her child's diaper across the back seat of the Cayenne! No Lie!!! Also, why show a car that looks the same as last years model and the one before that and the one before that and the one before that.... P.S. Thanks to the boys at Steve Harris for the passes and giving everyone a reason to actually come to the show and see something unique! Cheers! Image Unavailable, Please Login
Speaking of squashed beetles, Magnus Racing based out of Salt Lake City will be racing the Rolex 24 this weekend, they will have a live videocast here: http://www.magnusracing.com/daytona-live-webcast/ Keep an eye on them and root them on (as long as there isn't a Ferrari in front of them ) It will also be interesting to see how Pastrana does in a 458, and of course McDreamy's team is a strong contender.
I think this will be his first major road racing event. He will be in the #56 Ferrari 458. The Speed channel will be broadcasting a lot of the daylight hours and have live streaming online at night.
From Flying Lizard's Facebook post just now: Daytona 24 Qualifying - Patrick qualified the No. 45 fourth in GT with a time of 1:49.550 (out of 41 GT cars). No. 59 Brumos Racing Porsche is on the pole, with No. 69 AIM Autosport Ferrrai P2, No. 44 Magnus Racing Porsche P3. Back with you again at 6:30 for night practice.
Just heard that Dick Losee passed away. Utah and the Ferrari community have lost a great man. RIP Dick.
Here's a link to Dick's obituary. http://www.heraldextra.com/lifestyles/announcements/obituaries/richard-darrell-losee/article_0b5d8b6b-7812-5e66-bee9-d0886623319f.html
Ok, guys. I know this isn't Ferrari related. BUT.. it does involve alot of HP, so I thought you might be interested. I have a 2010 Camaro that I've had for about a year and a half.. bought it new. And have enjoyed driving it.. but just lacked that "kick in the pants" that it should have. So, last October I sent it down to a friend of mine in Houston that has a speed shop. What that looks impressive. It will be interesting to see what kind of 1/4 mile times it will do. And you didn't even have to pay a gas guzzler tax
