These guy in CT seem to have a good regular thing going but it is too far for me. Anyone interested in something in eastern MA. I live south of the city but part of the pleasure is a little drive.

    Let me know your interest.

I would stay outside the city and Metrowest is fine by me. A nice drive to get there. We could also select different locations for variety depending upon people's interests.

I'm new to the forum and new to the whole Ferrari community but I would definitely be up for a get together to meet some of the locals!

@JDriver, have you ever been to Karma Coffee in Sudbury? Do others have recommendations?

My criteria would be good coffee (I actually do not drink coffee), good pastries, and good parking.

I was assuming that we would start in the spring but there is no reason that it could not start sooner. Starting in the spring would likely build a critical mass quickly and ensure that someone always shows up.

    Thoughts?

I haven't been to Karma Coffee but there is a Starbucks on Rt 20 near the Shaws, also there is Sudbury Coffee both have good pastries and latte's, sandwiches etc. I think Karma Coffee is a small coffee stand in the Sudbury Farms parking lot.

So, let's plan for the spring. In the interim, I will see if I can find a good location for the first few.

My goal would be a local business, good coffee, good pastry, and good parking nearby. Suggestions are welcome.

The last detail would be the time. I propose 7:30am - 9:30am (or whenever).

7:30 is a good time, now for the location are we thinking of somewhere south of the city?

We could even have a couple locations...a few us used to meet at the Starbucks on Rte9 in Southborough...good parking area in the back.

If that's too far for everyone we could do closer to Boston?? I'm up for anywhere

Starbucks in Southborogh is good for me I'm in Sudbury so an easy drive over. We can certainly alternate west, south and north of Boston so everyone gets a shot at an easy ride. Sunday mornings are great for me as well.

Might be a bit south for some of you. But we had some fairly regular Sunday gatherings at the Starbucks, in Tauton off Route 24 (exit 12) this past year. We picked this location since it we had several RI guys and a few guys from Southern MA. The turnout was mostly Porsches (since it was posted at a Porsche website Rennlist.com ), but we welcomed all nice cars, I brought my 328GTS, another guy brought his Audi R8 V10, another guy brought his Jag XK8. It wasn't a huge group, but we got some really good car guys together, and there was plenty of parking. Seems we got more interest at the very end of the year so hopefully it will continue to grow this spring. If interested PM me and I'll send out an email or post here once we start having them again.

    Here are a few pix.
    Best regards,
    Dino

Rte 20 area in Sudbury is very nice actually. Lots of good roads surround it.

Like said before, we could always alternate. I'd be willing to make the trek down to Taunton

Just wanted to let people that live in southern MA/RI know about the Taunton meet, that we had last year. If people want to come down from the north thats great, but for some it might be a bit far (just as many of our RI people were looking for a Sunday alternative to Boston area gatherings, which they found a bit far for regular gatherings). Giving people local options is nice because it doesn't eat up a whole day, and they can make it there are on more regular basis. People from our group did go to other events on occasion, so if there is something up further north I will mention it to our guys.

Good suggestions and good to see people have gotten together in the past. Alternating would be good but for some it is hard to keep track of where it is going to be each week. There is something easy and comfortable to being in the same place. I recommend that we stick to one location at first and then branch out once we have a solid group.

It would also seem that we could find something along route 495 that is a good central location and some nice roads.

    Keep the ideas coming!

good call. There are quite a few coffee shops on Boston Post Road in Sudbury but I don't know if there are any good driving roads around there

Hey let's get this thing going again-

Tried to get the Rt 9 Southboro meet up and running- had on egood weekend and a few dismal ones.

Let's pick a place, make a schedule and keep posting it on as many forums as we can- Can't let the Connecticut guys have all the fun- The Hot Rod guys seem to have Friday night cruise places- Maybe we thin about a Friday or Saturday evening place?? Not everybody wants to get up at 6:00 am on a weekend.

I'm game for anything if it involves hot cars. A Friday night or Saturday is fine if Sunday mornings aren't popular with everyone. I'll go this winter to get it rolling!

6:00 am? yeesh. I like the idea of lunch time or the evening. We could also vary the time and flip flop between am and pm.

Jay and I were talking and I thought and thought about a spot that's accessible for most coming from 9, 495, the pike or 95 and came up with a spot in Natick. It's across from the AMC near the mall and shoppers world in a very large unused parking lot. It's close to everything including dunkin donuts and 2 Starbucks and a bazillion other things so you could make a day of it. It is 100% empty 100% of the time and big enough...massive. Ferrari's, beers and oysters at legal anyone?

Here it is on a custom google map that I made.
