Interesting story behind its history. I wonder what the hammer price will be.

I remember that story. I never understood why Mansell thought he had a leg to stand on.

As much as I admired Mansell as a driver, as person he was only after the Pound, Shilling, and Pence per Frank Williams. Had I been Ferrari, I would have been pretty pissed that he got the car and immediately put it for sale at the time.

I would rather add the Valeo clutch Fiat dude F40 to the collection.

I have some pics of this car during a club event in Chantilly when Marcel was still the owner, this car was not really impressive, and I really don't like the seats! that's my point of view.

35,000 miles on the odometer? ....53,000 KM.

That seems like an aweful many miles on the F40.

Does anyone have any history as to the mileage capabilities of the engine, transmission etc. of the F40? What is the upper limit of reliability ? Just curious.

Lucas, from what I've seen here the F40's in Europe can often have these kilometers or more. I won't even talk about Japanese F40's :D

They're not like the F40s here in our part that are almost always garage kept :)

"and comes with unique bucket seats that are upholstered in cream leather, instead of the standard red cloth"

Were these seats the original fitment for this particular car, or aftermarket change?

most first owners in western Europe did just that......ie Jean Marie Ballestre....and so on .
when you give prefered treatment this is one of the risk you have to deal with....but remember what goes up very often must go down.....

That depends on a lot of things. "Same car" is a big generalization. If the 'cheaper' car has needs, there might not be anything left in the aforementioned kitty.
