Anyone bidding on this car?...
Anyone bidding on this car? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2008-Ferrari-430-Scuderia-w-only-75-miles-Original-MSRP-306-466-/330670027923?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item4cfd783493 No inside fender covers, boot not fully finished, needs full service, but nicest seats available IMO. Anyone want to do a Football pool for what it ends up going for?
Tell him good luck. I remember some time last year I believe I saw the asking price for this car somewhere around the $260 mark. Why buy a Scuderia, and then never drive it for 3 years? Could have been a death in the family, as it is consigned with the Dealer selling it? Who knows? Maybe a 16m you would buy as a collector car, but not a Scuderia coupe. So anyone want to make some bets for fun?
+1. I think realistically it will sell for 184-190k. Personally I couldn't care less if the car had 75, 750, or 7500 miles. I want a car that has been maintained and serviced a few times unless I was buying new. You can argue that its a new car in terms of mileage, but it has been sitting for 4 years. The buyer will be able to drive it for a long time without racking up serious mileage. I like the Black/Black with the silver calipers. Very sinister looking.
Probably the best guess, but since you already took that guess, I will say 194,900??? Most Ferrari buyers are addicted to low mileage, it's like candy to them.
$190k is a fair price. Anything over that is over paying, and I'm not adjusting for the leather interior that despite of being a paid option, affects resale on the Scuderia/Stradale/16M.
Kind of sad to have such a beautiful car and never drive it... then sell it a few years later for a 30-40% loss. Hopefully he invests better than that in the market.
Ok, my guess is $188,000 On Ebay cars never get very high bids. A lot of "buy it now" cars that have been listed over and over.
A member said a while ago many exotic dealers use EBay strictly for advertising. I tend to agree, but there are exceptions. A Final Edition Esprit sat for almost a year, 3k miles, worth probably high 50's, a lucky Lotustalk.com member did win it at 49k. Sure there are others.
If some of you guys are looking for more "bang for the buck" off eBay, check this one out: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/08-SCUDERIA-NOVITEC-TWIN-SUPERCHARGED-WATCH-VIDEO-717-HP-ONLY-2K-MILES-AMAZING-/110808980963?pt=US_Cars_Trucks&hash=item19ccbadde3#ht_17547wt_1182
you can buy 09's with 2K-5K miles for $180-190K loaded with every option...it will need to be in the $170-$180K range...that is my estimate.
Maybe you can buy 2009's at that price, auction for example, but there is only one in the mileage range you list that has an asking price below 190k, the one at Lake Forest with the dual italian stripes and full leather, and that one doesn't have the fender covers. It also just sold, says under deposit. Full options to us includes Alcantara seat bolsters, and the inside fender covers, and stripes. There are very few 2009's with all three, and many do not have the fender covers. I already bought, but there are still a few here looking, if you have a car in the price / mileage range you mention, 2009 model year, please show us. http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/searchresults.jsp?lastBeginningStartYear=1981&num_records=100&search_lang=en&page_location=findacar%3A%3Aispsearchform&search_type=both&distance=0&address=99336&marketZipError=false&make=FER&model=F430&make2=&start_year=2009&end_year=2009&min_price=&max_price=&seller_type=b&transmission=&engine=&drive=&doors=&fuel=&max_mileage=&color=&keywordsrep=083099117100101114105097&keywordsfyc=__U2N1ZGVyaWE%2C__&keywords_display=Scuderia&sort_type=priceDESC&body_code=0&certified=&advanced=y&highlightFirstMakeModel=&showZipError=y&default_sort=priceDESC&systime=&isFlashPlugin=true&dma=YAKIMA-PASCO-RCHLND-KNNWCK&rdm=1327019460601 http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchResults.aspx?sorttype=1&makeid=31&makename=Ferrari&modelid=37&modelname=F430&year_list=2009&keyword=scuderia
Right, he said between 180k and 190k. That car has the BATA interior, doesn't have Alcantara seats, nor the fender covers. Same thing with the CNC car.
I looked very hard for an 09 and never found an 09 for with the mileage you describe (2 to 5 thousand miles) in the 180 to 190K range. A few which were, had issues.... Ebay is an advertising tool.....do not put faith in the bids you see. Most buyers will go and inspect the vehicle and negotiate the price with the seller.
Can't remember what this package sold for. If it was 80k would be 1/2 for the upgrades, and market value for the car. Would have to decide how much the upgrades are worth to you, and the predicted reliability of the package.
There are a few 2009s with *asking* prices below $200k. I am looking at a few of them. And, there are a few with asking prices from 200-220. None of us know what they will ultimately sell for, but an "informed guess" would be 0-10% below asking price...that puts them in the 180-200 range (perhaps a bit more for "resale red with stripe and under 2k miles"). Also, I have been told by recent buyers of specific purchased of 2008s in the $170-185 range (and yes there were 3 below $169k based on higher miles and "history" recently. Bottomline for actual *transaction/sale* price - not asking price (based on what I've seen for actual transactions and deduced from asking prices): 2009 Scuds = $185-200k actual sale price this month 2008 Scuds = $170-185k actual sale price this month
Miller Motorcars sold a 2009 with 1355 miles - rosso corsa/black for $207k abour 2 weeks ago. http://www.millermotorcars.com/2009-ferrari-430-scuderia--c-386.htm ..and what are fender covers??
Yup, red with 'low' miles still go for just over $200k as I said (I knew of another sale of a red sub 2k mile car too). I think 'fender covers' are the inside wheel well coverings. There is a thread on them. They were std on 16m (I think) and they sure look nice on scud too...I've decided that its nice to have but not a deal-maker/breaker for me. Are you going to keep the CS, or trade/sell it when you find your scud?
