Have you guys in the US received any cubans with intact bar codes?

I was told that the bar coded boxes are going to certain markets and then sold to others where they are torn off so Habanos can't track them as easily.

You are talking about grey market cigars. Common practice of distributors to sell discount products to warehouses and very large vendors so that they can get their numbers up. In the middle east this happens a lot. That is why the barcodes are cut off so that habanos does not know which distributor is doing this. When you buy from a brick and mortar or LCDH vendor the codes should be intact, otherwise something is up.

I finally got tired of the cold and snow and braved the chilly garage to light one up last night. I've been dying to try some of the new ones I bought lately. Lit up a Patel Connecticut torpedo. It was very smooth but actually almost too mild even for me. Good smoke though, pretty consistent and even burn.

I've been spending way too much time and money there. But I did pick up some more 1964 Padron's tonight for a decent price.

Had a handful of padilla in the back corner of the box for a few years - part of a gift sample pack long ago. Never intended on smoking them, but after reading darth's recommendations of the brand I lit one up.

Burned down the padilla corojo edicion especial 2006 with some dark coffee this morning and it was a great start to a cold lazy football sunday.

    Thanks.

Hopefully soon I will get some time to travel somewhere with a Habanos store. I would love to have a selection to see in person.

More expensive but highly more rewarding. Something about looking at a box before buying it makes me happy.

Is anyone familiar with the dominican montecristo classic series? I lit up the rothchilde vitola last night and it was very weird.

It had an overly sweet, gummy, almost like a slight menthol aftertaste. I'm trying to be honest with myself: I can't decide if i really liked it or not. At the time it was just so different than what I'm used to. Now i'm anxious to try it again to make up my mind. Maybe that's the answer right there?

Am Ii the only one that thinks this is an odd one?

Had my first Camacho today, the Connecticut. I love the spice from it, but was still pretty mellow compared to my usual go to sticks.

My favorite local shop just got a few boxes of the My Uzi Weighs a Ton. How are they?

I had a bunch of the 1999 anniversary series that were great. Not sure how far off they are from yours. Pretty mellow and mild though. I can't say any of them had a menthol aftertaste. Not sure I'd like that either!?

Can't realy say yet. I've only had one so far the ones I got was a pre week smoke to try out before my local B&M had another DoubleShot event with Drew Estates and Joya de Nicaragua.
It was the second one their the rep. Had a bundle of the MUZWAT 6x60 and a box of Undercrown Corona Doble (hit those hard) along with JDN Dark Corojo.
The local B&M should carrying the MUZWAT and Undercrowns soon. So for the MUZWAT 5x60 was pretty good stick. Medium bodied with coffee/ chocolate notes with mid wood and spice undertones running almost three hours of smoking time.

This place has been dead lately just as I've been stocking up and enjoying some decent sticks.

Didn't get done what I wanted on my car tonight so I'm loserbrating with a new one to me. Lit up a Rocky Patel Decade Torpedo. Very nice smoke!! I took a chance and bought a box of them so I'm glad I like them!!
