I have a 72 246 GT. Bought it in 1977 in Italy. Lost interest and am thinking of selling it. It has some rust. No idea what it's worth. I can't find much on internet to go by. Thanks in advance.

    Welcome!

There was some awesome charts of Dino values made by a chatter in the UK, IIRC.
It does have to do with verall condition obviously, but original unrestored cars are highly sought after....

You are in the right place to figure it all out!

1)Is it in the U.S., Europe or? 2)Take some images, 3)note all the numbers (chassis, motor, gearbox, body #'s) then 4)determine whether they are matching or not(Matthias Bartz is a great help). 5)What mechanical condition is it in? 6)Needs? 7)Body condition? 8)Is anything missing? Trim etc? 9)Original colour? What colour is it now? 10)What comes with it? Books? tool kit? Etc....

As BigRed said, probably in the $100K to $130K range. Maybe more, maybe less depends on the above.

You never know, you may find someone interested here.

Thanks for the help. My car is really not in the best of shape. It has not been started in years. And it does have rust. When I parked it everything was fine but that was a while back. Also its a european car.

That's why I came here. I checked on line and found two. One was 60 and one was 150. I thought mine can't be worth that much. I would like to find a good home for it. Somebody that will restore it like it should be.

    60?

This one was advertised for 129 then 125 and sold for some (unknown) amount fairly quickly. You be the judge.

How does yours compare to this?

Then Uro sez: offer at a buck and a quarter! :)

I doubt, past a certain point the paint matters. Rust might.....

Can you take a photo of the chassis plate? Open the engine lid. Its on the driver's side facing up.

See post #12, first photo under the engine lid - on the side of the engine compartment where the black paint is it says DINO 246GT then the serial number is stamped between the stars.
Good luck selling. I hope someone can fix it up proper.

I don't have the title in front of me. Believe it or not I still have the bill of sale from when it was bought in Italy. I can't lay my hands on it right now.
