We need another Cars and Coffee meet.... Maybe in Baton Rouge this time. Any ideas?..
I third this. I also very much agree with moving it to Baton Rouge. MUCH more central. We'll get a larger turnout if the rest of the State doesn't feel so far away. Next I hope you say we're going monthly too!
Anyone ever tried Rue Beignet at Highland & I10? I haven't but it looks to have a nice parking lot and easy access off the interstate. Gemlender, let me know if you want to give it a trial run. http://www.ruebeignet.com/
I have atempted to bring up a monthly meet several times to the starters of new Orleans cars & coffee event. I have been told that no one will show of made monthly. As seen here http://calloutsnola.com/showthread.php?1190-Cars-amp-Coffee-2-October-16th-Covington-Cafe-du-Monde-9am/page10 I do belive a next meet is in the works as you can see here at the Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/groups/226356987391046/ In the end I will help in any way I can.
We are planning to host a few C&Cs @ the Speed Shop in NOLA Motorsports Park along with a few Sunday Morning F1 viewings. Although the track is open and hosting events there is still on going construction. Why is construction crews never finish on time?
Eh, not a BR fan, if I could avoid it when traveling back and fourth to Houston I would. You guys have fun , I'll wait for the next event in the NOLA Metro.
Another vote for monthly. We don't need the import street racing forum to schedule a cars and coffee meet. Lets just pick a time and place each first sunday of the month and rotate. Next meet should be in BR for the sake of all the people making the long drive from W. LA The old Middendorfs in Manchac meets were great too, and centralized for B.R., NOLA, and Mandeville
I like it!! Talk like this is starting to make this feel more like the C&C you find anywhere else in the country! I'm so glad we're getting up to speed now. Let's do it right this year! Are there any tuners or car dealers in the BR area who would have the space and willingness to volunteer to host? Or do we need to shoot to meet near a food place?
Was the Chateau Cafe in the NO area accommodating for most? There is also the lake front nearby if the crowd got large enough. Around 7am sound good?
According to the Facebook page B.Johnson posted there is talk about Feb. 26 can we make this happen?Do we follow up with the last sun. If every month?
I agree, which is why im trying to see if the first Sun. of each month would work for everyone. Please the more responses on this the quicker we can get something set up and have C&C like other cities around the country.
First Sunday sounds great to me! As long as it is a consistent time and place that is what matters. I'll always try to attend as many events as I can and it's easiest to pull that off when we know what to expect.
If the Nola lakefront doesn't satisfy those in BR and BR doesn't satisfy some Nola people, a meet-in-the-middle would work at The Tangler Outlets right off of I-10, Exit# 177 Gonzales. There's plenty of parking. 7am first Sunday of every month.
Redsnake I like your idea of making the meet more central to South Louisiana and not so centralized on New Orleans all the time. I like the Tanger idea better. Chateau Cafe is still pretty much New Orleans (6.7 miles from city center).
