A few more "spy" shots here if anyone's interested; http://www.autosport.com/gallery/index.php/id/2696 I'm a little surprised they're running JPS colors rather than the traditional Lotus Green & yellow. [Or maybe it's just that it's an old car?] Cheers, Ian
Look at the tail/intake area. It still has the blown rear wing. This must be an old car. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't testing the new car be a rules violation? Mark Edit: Disregard that bit about the blown rear wing, I believe I was mistaken.
Oh yeah! It's gotta be at least 2 years old (it's their 2010 R30 btw) *and* you can only run on Pirelli's "demo tires" - Which I presume are made from wood...... Cheers, Ian
They can not test anything within the last year. Car must be two years old....I think. I think this was the newest they could get him into.
It's the 2010 R30, repainted from the yellow/black livery it raced in. It was already painted black/gold last year for demo use. Renault -> Group Lotus stated long ago that they were going to continue for 2012 with the black/gold that was used in 2011, and Team Lotus -> Caterham stated that they would continue in 2012 with their green/yellow from 2010/2011.
Am not holding my breath for his chances against the hot shot shots, but secretly I'am hoping he does really well.
i'm openly hoping it mops the floor with everyone, but given the car he'll be driving i'd be surprised if he can consistently be in the top 10 cars.
With the trend of bringing back all these old guys to race, I am surprised they aren't all getting some form of ED pharma livery.
