LOL. Noted. And, "yes" - what Ron said - your post and your first hand knowledge of owning both did play a part in my education/thought process...

that said...its not simple to find the "perfect" (or even near perfect) scud in terms of color/options...searching...

It always comes down to what you want.

I couldn't talk Stokpro for example into trading his CS if I offered him a 100k incentive with a case of Napa Valley Reserve and a case of Harlan.

I love both of them. I just know my heart grabs the scud keys first.

My background is different than Stokpro tho.

I spent years at racetracks squeezing every tenth out of a corner chasing other guys with the same goal from track to track. This has got my speed factor rating higher than any other sense.

You can't put a ak47 in the hands of a junkie and then tell him a 6 shooter will do. I like speed. I like quick and I tend to choose this over everything.

Cs's are damn awesome. I'm blessed to own one and hope I do for a long time but the next track day I'm grabbing my scud or gt3 RS and not looking back.

Thanks appreciate the prespective...I do LOVE the CS...just bored and too much time to shop and 'the next thing' thing at work here I guess...

Oh, and mental note - Invite Mark to the F-chat Wine Dinner! (never tasted the Napa reserve bottlings...)

I'm not a wino as much as Stokpro but I actually know what wine is vs EMan. He drinks draft beer and sometimes he goes to a bottle :)

I've a select few wines I like where Stok has a neighbor with 50k bottles. He never lakes a good bottle

    Tell me about it...

The funny thing is I had a short list with 2 cars on it. A 612 & a Scuderia. For each I had/have an exact list of options I want. If a car shows up...great..if not..that's fine too. Funny thing was the 612 appeared exactly...I mean exactly..how I wanted it. I NEVER thought that would happen. Now for a Scuderia...lol..

I currently have a 08 RS and thinking of selling it for CS. Never owned a Ferrari before and because everyone scare me with the cost of ownership, I've been unable to make a decision for quite awhile now. Do you guys think selling an RS for CS is a great move? It'll be my weekend driver with one or two DEs a year. Also, how much should one offer to a CS with 30k miles with full service history with repainted front bumper?

I've had my CS for 1.5 years. My first Ferrari too. I've had it in the Ferrari dealer for 2 services. $900 each time. Runs great. No problems.

    I can't comment on pricing.

    Ken-

They are different strokes for different folks. Somebody on here recently did the exact opposite swap, albeit going from a weekend car to a primary track car. They love the RS for the track, but miss the Stradale dearly.

All I can say is if you do go for a CS (or a 3.8 RS) don't you DARE do anything before you call me - I want your green RS!! :)

Ken CS will draw your emotions out in a crazy way.. if u drove my F430 and loved it and you wanted to get rid of your RS for it, then the CS is more raw you'll love it even more..

It's a Ferrari and it's a CS.. sound, agility.. it will give you a smile a second trust me I can already tell!

Well I'm not always the best to ask for advice from Porsche to Ferrari comparisons.
I'm a 100% certifiable Porsche guy. I raced GT3 cups and they are ingrained in me. The RS is IMHO the best car made ever. Over all I've driven. But I'm a nut job for them.

Apples to oranges in driving but both made for the same thing.

That being said if you are looking to replace an RS the CS would be the only car for what you've stated your use is going to be the CS would be fantastic.

Green RS? Keep it for your great greatgrandkids is what my gut says and add a CS :)

That's a tough decision my friend
oh man green CS. I'd want it to! What a car.
I'd be the opposite but the RS I see how it blends into every environment. Not a standout car in a group unless people really know the car. I understand your choice. The CS is awesome

Not too much. The guy from CNC has posted about this car on f-chat, likely in this thread a whiile back. Do a search two ways:

    1) Search for the last 6 of the VIN in this forum.
    2) Check out the CNC sponsor area on f-chat and then click on the member and search his posts.

I'm pretty sure this is the car that had some custom stereo parts added. CNC was going to bring it back to stock (likely at considerable expense) and then put it up for sale. Its low mileage and has the leather seats with red stitching (which is a plus in my book anyways).

Finally, CNC seems to have a good reputation on here...so contact them and ask...they will likely be forthright and easy to deal with from what I've heard. Good luck.

Oh - also do a google search on that VIN and you will find history on the car too (always a good idea when researching a Ferrari).

I read that you always ask for the "yearly service"... you do know that the 1 year and 2 year services are slightly different? 2 yr adds replacing gearbox and differential oil, power steering fluid, A/C freon and filter, and coolant. Just don't ask for the "yearly service" at the 3 year mark. Just an fyi. ;)

It's the car with the custom stereo/speaker system (11k$) in the doors and behind the seats. Also had aftermarket wheels, seems to be replaced for the original ones by CnC now. Not sure if they removed the speaker system. I have some photos of the car here

I would talk you into it - not out of it
I had acs, 360, 430 and none of them gave me the feeling of the scud - not even close
if you liked the rawness of the cs, wait to you drive the scuud
