We already had the debate. Since you both drive a 599 family car , You probably know better than me.

But I personnaly love to go to The Champ Elysees Underground parking lot and spend a few minutes with my darling, a Grigio HGTE.

She is so big , so massive ... But without feeling heavy.I dunno How to describe it. First time I saw a 599 in flesh I was completely amazed by the size of the thing.. Lower and wider than I thought.

    I really love it.

In French Slang we call it to be "Potato". Massive yet not heavy.

Believe it or not, I know what you mean. What you describe is part of the reason why I love the 599's aesthetics so much. It's really a stunning car in every respect. Its size can, however, be an issue at times in Europe.

Jeesh, I hope so--------but if you look at the latest Ferrari, the 458, it to is big shaped and robust. It seems this is the way Ferrari is headed. Years ago Ferrari's were made alot smaller.

I believe in general Ferrari is trying to make thier cars for all the over weight people that are in their targeted model . The out of shape (fat) wealthy business man, that more than likely, has a gimpy leg which they have to grab with thier hands and pull it into the drivers position as they enter the cock-pit :)

All kidding aside, This new model will be fantastic, no matter how big it is.

I like it as well. It appears smaller overall at least in the pic than the original 599.

I would only hope that Ferrari stays with that low riding suspension. Take a look how close the tires are to the fender-wells.

However, Ferrari will give it the 4-wheel drive look, no doubt.

I like the vents in the hood and the bold sides of the car.

When I was at the Atelier in Maranello in mid-December, the Ferrari guy I was working with was telling me the new 599 was smaller, lighter and with more power. He said that the 599 was being taken in a sportier direction.

I would imagine that it will be a much sportier better handling version of a GT than the current 599 is. We shall see!! I was speccing my new 458 Spider at the time but have also put my name down for the new 599 as I figure it will be at least mid-2013 before I can get one and that will give me at least a year with my Spider which is April build for June delivery in Perth.

Had an invite to the preview in February in Maranello but can't make that so will go to the Singapore one in May.

I heard on another forum that "slightly smaller," in the case of the 599 replacement, means between the 599 and the California in size. Since the Cali is only about four inches shorter and three inches narrower than the 599, I don't expect the new car to be THAT tiny.

38 days left for the Geneva auto and not a single photo or image. Soon we should have something official!

Here you go. Unlike the most recent releases, not much to go on with the highly camo'd cars for the 599 replacement, so quick sketch as imagined by me...
