Real cheap spark plug wire set

If your plug wires are getting old and don't want to spend multi 100's of dollars, there is an alternative. On mine, and I presume all Ferrari wire sets, the boot that covers the hole in the cam cover is actually a separate molding then the harder plastic fitting that attaches to the plug. Fairly easy to pry them apart. If you pop the small boot off the other end too, you'll find a hard plastic 90 degree angle fitting that snaps onto the terminal at the shock tower. That piece unscrews from the end of the plug wire exposing a copper crimp fitting that it screwed onto. You'll have to pry that off and clean it up.

I bought a set of high performance universal spark plug wires for a V8 from Autozone. These are made by Accel and come in various colors, for what that's worth. After cutting to correct length, slide the bare end of the new plug wire through the cam cover boot, then through the small boot from the other end. Remove 1/2" insulation from the bare end of the wire to expose the core, bend the core back against the end of the wire and crimp that copper fitting from the old wire over the core and insulation. Screw on the 90 degree plastic fitting, slide the boot to cover. Snap the plug wire onto the spark plug, then slide the cam cover hole boot down to it's place on the cam cover. Plug the other end in, and you're good to go.
