    Love it!

These young men should have a chance to meet Joe Kittinger.

More correctly, the Lego guy should! :D [They can chaperone the little guy ;)]

    You've seen this I presume? http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=350238

I'm gonna say they came up with the project prior to the ad on the TV wherein a few guys do basically the same thing? ['cept being "grown up's" they didn't include the Lego guy!]

    Cheers,
    Ian

    (Yes, seen that thread...)

Lots of kids, and adults, have thought of doing such things as these guys with Lego man.

When I was a kid, we tied little green army men to helium balloons.

The problem was, back in the early 70's you couldn't buy a GPS phone and digital cameras at Walmart for a few bucks. We never recovered our little green army men, but I'm certain they did at least as well as Lego man, if not Mr. Kittinger! We probably should have written our phone numbers on the bottom. :)

And we need look no further than Larry Walters to see that actual people have tried such things...live: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Larry_Walters

What's cool here is that these guys took advantage of their creativity and some off the shelf technology to come up with a fun continuation of the idea. If Lego man was sitting in a lawn chair, it would have been priceless!

The correct term is actually "minifig" rather than "LEGO man."
