CampioniShop is SuperSprint's newly appointed distributor in North America for Porsche, MB AMG, Ferrari, Lotus, Aston Martin, Bentley Maserati and Audi S/RS applications.

SuperSprint has been under represented in the USA in the last few years and we are here to change that. They are one of the world's biggest exhaust manufacturer and provide many OEM and OE tuner with exhaust systems.

    About Supersprint:

The engineers at Supersprint realize that for maximum performance, exhaust development must begin at the exhaust ports of the cylinder head. This is why Supersprint has the largest variety of racing header systems in the world today. Each header incorporates CNC laser cut port matched flanges. Primary tubes are mandrel bent using the latest CNC tube bending equipment. With special tooling Supersprint has been able to keep weld joints to a minimum for added reliability.

The fully appointed R&D department uses the latest in prototyping equipment along with the reliability and accuracy of a MAHA "all wheel drive" chassis dyno. With over 50 years in performance exhaust development they have earned the confidence of many of Europe's most respected tuners. Most units are 100% stainless steel.

    Full systems available

About SuperSprint's modular 355 exhaust system!

This car’s exhaust system had some heavy issues that the maker never solved, like the frequent failure of the manifold, and some others. The Supersprint rear silencer has an insulating double wall envelop, drilled and curved pipes and a resonator.

The custom headers with single independent pipes have a 4 in 1 design with merging elements using a patent system by Supersprint, “floating flange – trochoidal gasket – retaining springs”. This exclusive design leaves the single pipes free to expand, removing any structural stress and any possible breaking cause.

There are new heat shields, placed in critical spots, on thermal stressed elements only.
Each OEM manifold instead is completely covered in a big insulation box; this gives effective protection to the components surrounding the exhaust, but uselessly increases the thermal load on the exhaust pipes, supposedly becoming the cause for the frequent failure of them.

The custom metallic catalytic converters have been developed to optimize the performance and to allow the removal of the complex OEM multiple cat system, not great in terms of efficiency. This presented a bypass valve, an obsolete system that even the maker abandoned in the next model, the 360.

The combination of these three exhaust components developed by Supersprint, rear exhaust + catalytic converters + headers, produces a sensible performance gain at all rpm, and increases durability and reliability at the same time.

The system is 100% Stainless and sized at Ø 2x60mm. You can install the headers and front cat or catless pipes, the muffler and tips, or the full system.

You also have the option to re-use the OEM cats by using the Y-pipes designed by SuperSprint.

    The modular system includes:
    1. Equal length headers L/R
    2. Front cat pipes L/R OR Catless pipes L/R
OR Y pipe to re-use OEM cats
    3. Rear exhaust with 4x70mm tips

    Performance data
    OEM data:
    Horsepower 338,7 Hp @ 8375 rpm
    Torque 322,6 Nm @ 6250 rpm

    Supersprint full catted system:
    - Manifold R.- L. 390601
    - Front kat R. 390602
    - Front kat L. 390622
    - Rear exhaust R.- L.390606

    Horsepower 347,3 Hp @ 7785 rpm
    Torque 336,7 Nm @ 6005 rpm

Bottom line: +8.6 hp with a full catted system and no tune.

Its always nice to see that the 355 is getting more upgraded exhaust options, especially a full system such as the one you have made us aware of. I have looked at the pictures you have attached and they are interesting but... Maybe I am lacking imagination but I can't see why the muffler you show has an input to receive a Y pipe since it sounds like your full system removes the need for that area? A picture showing your full modular system with heat shields connected or even better installed on a 355 would help clarify this.

The muffler pictured is the one designed for the OEM cats. You are correct in your assumption.

We will have further details on heat management by Monday!

I was wondering about those heat shields (on the manifolds) as well

That floating flange on the manifold is a cool idea though.

We have had a chat with SuperSprint's lead engineer this morning, here's what came out of the discussion:

SuperSprint provides their own set of metal heat shields. In addition to the spring loaded merge collectors, this will effectively be the most reliable 355 headers on the market.

Regarding the rear mufflers, the Supersprint rear muffler retains the valve activated, by pass system, and this feature makes it totally compatible with the stock catalytic and headers. When the Supersprint full system is installed, the by-pass inlet is deleted, via a block-off flange kit, which is included into the SS rear muffler package.

Regarding ceramic coating, ceramic coating basically is a high temp, durable paint job, which It does not add any real barrier. Metal sheet heat shields are the only way to move a portion of the heat away from the area surrounding the headers.

We will have detailed pictures of the headers with heat shields shortly.

Only if you consider 1/3rd of the heat getting through to be 'no barrier'.

Metal shields are the only way to prevent the radiative heat transport that cooks engine bay components. However, coated headers means that the header heat shields do not need to be as efficient as heat shields without the headers being coated.

The most <thermodynamiallyc> important place on the header to be coated is the insides of the tubes. This prevents the heat from getting to the steel.

The lest <thermodynamically> important place on the header to be coated is the outside of the steel tubes. Coatings, here, prevent the steel from liberating its heat to the environment. Coating the outsides of headers is cosmetic, not thermodynamic.

But, even coated, headers release too much heat (radiative) for engine bay components to remain happy long term unless there are radiative heat shield between the header and the components.

Correct, SuperSprint has had a lot more success with heat shields than it has with thermal coating - be it inside or out. It is much more cost effective, and its effectiveness in regards to heat is better than ceramic coating.

Shortly we will release R&D discussions on the 458 Italia - including a set of Inconel headers. We will talk a lot about heat management, I would love for you to join this discussion.

I look forward to seeing pictures of the full system with heat shields and the by-pass inlet delete. That is the configuration I am most interested in.

    Some news:

SuperSprint are currently out of F355 mufflers, that's actually a good news as they are willing to revise the tips and use a flange or slip-on joint the mount them, allowing for easy uninstall of the tips for major services.

Heat shield pictures to follow within the next days.

Just sent Roberto a reminder, he has this on his schedule he's slightly delayed due to R&D on the Ferrari 458.

Got it, an answer will be sent shortly.

So, whats the price? If you guys are saying "ouch" to the price and not saying ouch to the other companies prices, I shutter to imagine.

Someone please send me pricing. It would be nice just to replace the whole crap exhaust system at once (although, I was told my car has a tubi exhaust-I have not had time to look yet).

Is there a reason someone just doesn't post the cost of the system and/or its components here??? What's the secret?

MAP pricing (minimum advertising price). We cannot post these publicly as we are offering additional discounts for a full system.
