    Hey Guys

I am trying to access a certain relay in the passenger footwell, but am unable to get to it/locate it.

From Ricambi image - I want to replace Relay #36 (http://www.ricambiamerica.com/parts_catalogs.php?M=FE&P=&V=diag&I=1540).

I have removed the carpet and outside board. Where will I find #36? Is it under the cover labelled 'A'? If so, how do I remove that. I don't see any screws holding it down, and have tried to feel all around it but cannot feel any screws/nuts holding it anywhere.

    Any help please....

I am wondering if it is one of the relays noted to the right of the main board. Hopefully others will chime in with confirmation.

My experience is with the 348, not the 355, but I can tell you for certain that on the 348 relays #36 and #38 are under the drivers side of the dash (on a LHD car), not in the passenger footwell. They are behind the very top edge of the carpet to the left side of the steering wheel.

I think I posted a picture, but it was quite some time ago.

I think you're right. It's behind the dashboard.

There are relays on both sides of the dash. They are not behind the dash but are located at the bottom lip of the dash and are mounted on the chassie with philips screws. You need to get your fingers behind the carpet where it meets the bottom section of teh dash and you will see them. There is one relay on the driver side and two on pass side.

    good luck

There are 2 relays on the left side (to the left of the passenger fusebox, under the top edge of the carpet) but both of those are labeled "acoustic" which I am assuming are the buzzers for the spider top/alarm/seat belt etc. I looked under the center part of the dash (below radio area) but nothing.

On the driver side (LHD), where exactly should I be looking?

The directional relay is located on the LHD side of the car behind the carpet just under the dash. Pic #1 shows the attach points after I discovered mine were missing.

The harness is seen in pic #2 is what you are looking for. I found it buried under the dash and missing a relay altogether.

My poor car had a rough life.....but its gettin' better :)

    EXCELLENT!!

I pulled the carpet on the left side and had same issue - nothing there, except a hole for a screw... I didn't look for the harness though, so Im going to do that tomorrow...

    THANKS!!!

Pass side should be the same area. Just trace the harness bundle that runs at the bottom edge of the dash and you will see two wire sets seperated for the two relays that are almost at the same exact position as the driver side.

On mine, both the 'relays' on the top edge of the carpet on the passenger side are Acoustic sounders - I believe one if the Spider top buzzer, and the other is probably the seatbelt buzzer... Both say 'somethiing acoustic" on them...

    Thanks....that's what I thought.

This discussion was about directional relays and I was unaware of any flasher / directional control relays over on that side.

I was looking for the flasher relay but had no idea what side they were on... The diagram shows it 'above' the fusebox in the passenger side, so I just assumed it was somewhere there and spent a LONG time without getting anywhere... Lesson - Italians think above means right...
