    Hello again everybody.

My question is, why do people prefer Bicolour on their 599, or 458? What is the justification?
While I was waiting at the lounge in my local dealer, I overheard a couple's conversation where the wife asked if the 599 Bicolour was an 'open top'.

It got me thinking, why now? Why is there such a huge demand on bicolor now? And what are your intentions of having your car in bicolour, is it to trick others into think it is a spider? Small humor ignore that.*

But it certainly looks great on a 599 GTO.

    Your thoughts?

    Much appreciated, guys.

Because it's an ''in'' thing now, a current fashion.

I quite like it on the GTO's, on the 458 only on select colours....

I knew a fellow who was into bicolor before bicolor was cool. For the last bunch of years he has purchased a new green Ford pickup every 5 years and had the dealer paint the roof white. That's a lot of green and white Ford trucks.

    +1. This.

Kind of reminds me, back in the old days, of when Ferrari Boxers came with the two-tone paint option.

Who says the factory takes advantage of its customers? After all, the bicolor option on the 599 GTO was a free upgrade

Love the red/black boxers... I'm a big fan on 599 as well... don't love it on the 458

Its an illision to integrate visually, IMO the glass into the body of the car.

It gives it an overall "canopy" look to the roofline.

Thus accenting the color lines of the car body itself.
    Do what makes you happy!

Just like Acura did with the original NSX in 1991, they stated that was their design intention. Bicolor also showed up on the mid 1990s Camaro as well. What is old is new again.

Ah, s/n 0038M with the lovely Vignale body. Too bad it is now back to a (replica?) Touring Superleggera body.
