Could anyone provide some clear pictures of an LP5000S toolbag, in order that I can restore the bag kindly sold to me by Chadbourn. I am assuming the bag should have 2 straps around it (attached by the rivets) and a single carrying handle?

There also appears to be a number of variations of bags some with flaps that cover the tools, others without, however the bag I have seems to match images of a pristine bag but alas no images of the straps!

QV is the same as 5000S, so this would be ok

    Sp1der,
Here are pics of a 5000 tool bag. It does have two straps, so one picture shows it open, like your pics, and the second picture shows the back with the two straps and the handle connected to the two straps. I know this is a correct bag from a 5000, but you know how Lamborghini was, and it is possible that late 5000s got the single strap bag that came with the QVs. If you are reproducing the straps, they are leather with chrome-headed rivets holding the straps onto the bag.

Hi Mike, Victor many thanks, it looks as if the bag I have had 2 straps so will get it restored that way, plus look into my local trimmer making a few replica bags.

    Victor,

it is the other way around. The early QV (euros) had the same bag as the 5000S, 2 straps. In fact the body of the early euro QV is really closer to the 5000S than the Qv US in many ways (kevlar hoods, engine cover with opening on the side etc...)

Yea, it is interesting and difficult to explain why the factory did things as they did. For example, I wonder why they reverted back to the aluminum front hood and ditched the kevlar during QV production?
