Just because you're behind the wheel of a $1.7 million supercar doesn't mean you know how to drive it. Watch as the driver of this Aston Martin One-77 repeatedly stalls on the streets of Paris.

We don't understand how this driver and this other One-77 owner can stall a car that doesn't even have a clutch pedal for its automated manual gearbox.

Maybe Aston should have invested in a double clutch transmission -- or engine controls that wouldn't bog its 750-hp V-12 on a city street

Hmmm... how do you stall a car that doesn't have a clutch?

Sounds like a mechanical problem to me rather than driver error.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Hmmm.... looks like some tuner took to a DB9. Not really inspiring IMO.

I can't see how it's a fail in a car without a clutch pedal. Obviously something is wrong with the car.

I still can't like the one-77 though. I find it pretty damn hideous. I watched the National Geographic feature on it the other day and they talk about perfect ratio's for design etc...

Maybe I'm just odd, but I find it ugly.

Give me a DBS Vantage or V8 N24 any day of the week...

If you look at how Lambo pushed the envelope of the original Countach look to create the Aventador, this just doesn't seem like they really tried very hard.

Complete design fail in my opinion too. Some elements, taken in isolation, are interesting, but overall it's a disaster. All those gills and overdone protrusions and overhangs are hideous. What a shameful derivative of the graceful lozenges and sleek muscular curves on the AMV8 and DB9.

Maybe it looks better in person. Better than the new Acura NSX.

I'm glad there's only 77 made, ensure's me less chance of coming across one.

    I've never liked Aston's... Bentley > Aston.

FYI - I'm pretty sure they made 87. Some ME guy ordered 10 after they were sold out of production.

I didnt like it at first and sometimes still think it looks weird on pictures but i saw 2 of them and in person, they are amazing. I saw the black car in Paris and it was perfect. The right wheels, color and in paris, it looked just right.

Now, the price is ridiculous but that's another debate.

Definitely a malfunction. Don't see how it could stall without a clutch. Unless the driver somehow got it into 6th gear.

Not just you. Aston and Ferrari these days take their tuition from the Futt Bugly School of Design.

Article quoted on previous page mentioned a price tag of $7 million for one sold in China. Assuming $1 million price tage, $500k in personalization, and 200% duties, it still falls far short. Is it a misprint? Or did someone get the interior plated in gold or something?

Bizarre--but I am glad there's one less of these hideous monstrosities out there. Now what's this about someone getting ten extra made??! Sounds like a BS rumour to me--the typical "Arab prince knows no bounds to excess" nonsense that does the rounds every time a superexotic is announced. I am pretty sure it's nonsense because the original production run never did run out, so far as I know. AM personnel were always quoted as saying that it would "sell out shortly", not that it already had. There were cars available at dealers too. Yup, there's 76 too many of them out there at this point, but it's 76, not 86.
