They both look like 128D. The air cleaners on the engine to the right isn't right.

I wonder if that's Dick Merritt's? Back in the day when everyone was putting Chivvies in, Dick (who had more foresight than almost any of us) was buying up engines, rear ends, etc. They used to talk about "Dick's basement."

I believe you are correct. It was a "tour" of Detroit area Ferrari enthusiast's garages & basements :)

The 275 GTB was on that same day IIRC.Note the bellbottoms on the gentleman w/the jeans.Ah those '70's fashions.

That's a genuine C-car; 9000 series. Perhaps my old 9057. Essentially an LM engine with three LARGE carbs. These should have been posted in "Vintage".

Most probably January 1978 at Roger Meiner's place in Birmingham/MI.

I believe a 'wood' reference is not inappropriate, I'll be in my corner.

Fast forward to today. Some of the beat 3X8 and Mondial series could allow someone to make a V8 collection in a basement. Actually doesn't Dave Helms have a few non runners sitting around his shop? Not in a basement, but a line of spare Ferrari engines is always a fun thing to see. Also a single, but I believe FO Houston has an Enzo engine in their parts dept area? Of course the fun today could be had by going to the Ferrari Museum in Maranello where the old F1 engines are lined up. That was a treat to see them and the advances in technology over time.
