Once again many thanks for all the comments. I am glad that some people like/share the color-ideas I had when configuring my car. For those asking for more interior photos, here You go. They are done using a poor click-and-shoot-camera by a guy who doesn't know how to use it (that's me...), so sorry for the quality. As the car is in an underground garage at the moment (until it's licensed in march), the lighting is terrible (neon lights). But I guess it's possible to 'get the idea'. Most interestingly the bordeaux shines in different colors depending on the light being shed upon it. Seems that's because of the tiny hairs of the alcantara breaking the light. Sometimes it looks very dark, then bright red, then again a bit brownish and pale. Go figure. The car has 80 km on the clock and according to my dealer they are to test it once again following their own plan. Only then it will be delivered to me. Guess I'll pass it on to my favorite detailer then to have it treated with 5 layers of Liquid Glass over 3 days as with all my cars. I sat in it at the dealership's underground garage today for about an hour, all on my own, just smelling the leather, metal, plastic, glue - well, everything used to put it together. I let my eyes follow the swings of the wheel arches and just thought: This is not a car, it's a sculpture with the ability to seriously kick *ss ! I can't wait to take her for a first ride. Then, after the 1,000 km break-in, she's gonna be taken for really _HARD_ rides. Girls like that... This combination looks horrendous in the online configurator (or maybe I have a really crappy monitor) but I have to say it is breathtaking, even with the point-n-shoot camera. Discreet, classy, sporty and, most importantly, timeless. Very good choices.
Congratulations on the black beast. Looks beautiful and interiors are sweet too. Black cars make for stunning photography and I think your car deserves a proper photo shoot Keep this thread updated regularly and drive safe Aufwiedersehen
Thanks, and You are absolutely correct: If I wouldn't have seen it at the factory, I would NOT have picked the bordeaux. In reality it looks WAY brighter and colorful, but not so 'in ya face' like rosso corsa et al, which I don't like to rest my eyes on when inside the car. I'll ask my wife to take pics later once I have the car here with me and on the road. She's a bit into photography, so I'll let her and her camera (Canon 50D ?) take care of that. Should make her day... Stay tuned and take care everyone ! Cheers, Ulli
Wow! Very nicely optioned! I really like the look without shields and with the polished/red cavallino center caps on the rims complimenting the red calipers. Striking. The bordeaux alcantara looks great too. Just the right amount of color splash for the interior. Can't wait to see more pictures of her!
