Fortunately, it can not be part of the crash protection, so it should be easily replaced with an aftermarket alternative.

The old NSX had many "firsts". Really wonder what Honda got this time... Still 3 years to launch, a lot of cool technology could come up within that time.

Also, 15 million on YouTube within a few days + Super Bowl coverage etc. Say what you want, but they have created some bigtime buzz already!

That HSC still looks good almost 10 years after... It would have been an excellent NSX II...

its gonna be a great car. I wish the HSV was released as a road going car. That car dominates JGTC and looks awesome. Honda please make the new NSX with over 400hp and ditch those ugly wheels!!

That looks terrific. Why didn't they build it?

    All the best,

The most common answer is they didn't build it because the economy tanked. I don't know if that's the only reason, but it's ashame since the HSC was incredible.

Problem with these photoshops and concepts is the same as with every car.

Every. Single. Concept. Car... EVER has about 0.001" of ground clearance, 0.005" of tire-to-bodywork clearance, long front overhangs and 1 profile tires.

That makes any car look pretty good.

Then they release it for sale... and it has 5mph bumpers, the front splitter is gone, it sits 5" off the ground, has 3" of tire-to-body gap for suspension travel, big clunky side mirrors and normal tires, and half of the awesomeness is gone.

No offense to anyone here who is doing the cool looking p-shops, but I would personally rather see actual designs of what may appear in the showroom. Because too much touch-up is like showing a woman after 10 hours of make-up and 10 hours or post-picture photoshopping. What you see ain't what you get.

:) .001" ground clearance may be excessive.
Concept cars .........what would/could we do without them? Gotta love 'em. Automotive masterbation. In a good way :)
