Excellent. 1976 California car built just a few cars after the Steve Mc Queen car. Ordered via Vasek Polak in Hermosa Beach Image Unavailable, Please Login
in the 70s his Hermosa Beach showroom was a candy store for Porschephiles who adored turbocharged cars as he kept the 934 race cars out front.. I read that Polak befriended Dr. Ferry Porsche, who offered Polak his own sports car dealership in 1959. His Hermosa Beach dealership was the first in the nation to deal exclusively in Porsches. I usually prefer darker colors (like the famous Oak Green) on 930s or 911s, but the 930 is one car that I think looks great in white. I even like the matching white Fuchs.

Yea, Chad was around 16 when he got "caught" driving it on Pacific Coast Highway while Steve was away at the studios.........Steve was'nt happy about it, but Chad survived the ordeal without too much grief. Truth be told, Steve surely understood Chads desires, and I'm sure he saw much of himself in his son, so how mad could he get.......... Mike

I think this silver/red car ended up in your part of the country. It is VIN # 9306800321 purchased new by Mel & Irvin Schottenstein (the namesakes of the arena at The Ohio State University). Silver must be the most popular color? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Indeed! Black/black is quite rare too.. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Nice car but I like black/red or the silver/red more. Also, I'd much rather have the classic standard black Fuchs. I've never cared for polished Fuchs...they just seem dated and maybe too blingy, at least for me.
That blue interior is really wild! When I think of a blue interior I think of a car having something closer to navy blue. I've seen that interior color before although I believe it was a late 70s 3.3 Turbo with a light blue exterior color of the old Gulf 917s. The is bright blue is too much for me but its still cool to see these beauties in their correct 1970s colors.
Agreed, personally, I don't like anything polished or chromed on 3.0 930s. This is a fairly accurate representation of that blue. It really IS that bright. This was the flamboyant 70s remember? The 3.3 cars had the much more toned-down dark blue. Image Unavailable, Please Login
MANY examples have gone back to the fatherland, and there they bring serious $. In fact I am beginning to hear some interesting numbers here in the USA too. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Flew to Seattle w/ the wife in august '09 to look at a couple. Black / tan 76 was overall a nice car with new paint. right rear flare/fender had repair work and was not fixed correctly and the right rocker panel near the jack point was pushed up and in. the car drove great. had SC cams, hjeders and k27. he was firm at $35k. the brown(?) / cork car was not great. it had been repainted a chevrolet truck metallic brown, as there was a sticker in the truck w/ the paint code and the paint obcvisly did not match the bron paint in the door jams, triunk etc. interior was pretty good. car drove awefull..no boost and smoked. the dealer was asking $29,000. on the same trip. we drove to vancouver BC (awesome town) and stoped at the porsche dealer. they said they have not seen a 930 (of any year) in at least 4 years.
