I know...3.5k miles in 8 years. The thing was designed to be an amazing drivers car and....instead it spend 99% of its short life parked in a garage like some sort of mechanical painting. I have to say this "don't drive the thing" stuff is starting to irritate me...what a waste.
That should live to see another day. When I raced, 360 Challenges would come into the pits looking like that hourly and be back on the track in a matter of a couple hours..with a little duct tape of course.
NO-NO! / The dealer says its not been lowered! Ha! I see in the description that the car wont start. I wonder if that is just because no one there is familiar with the start procedure? That would be comical too.
Could very well be. Also, it says "secondary damage: all over". I'm wondering what the underside of the car looks like. Could be more damage than meets the eye.
He probably read a few posts like this on FCHAT, and figured he better get out and drive it, but obviously pushed it to hard, or ran into an unfortunate situtation he couldn't avoid. Almost as sad as the guy who bought the last yellow one this summer, and wrecked it the next week.
Yes...specifically, it's in Rock Tavern, NY...about 65 miles north of Manhattan. There are a number of factors that go into the decision as to whether a car should be "totalled". The amount of physical damage is just one, and, as others have pointed out, there could be significant damage that's not apparent in the pictures. Other considerations include the availability of parts, the amount of time required to repair the vehicle (sometimes it can take months to even schedule a high end vehicle at an appropriate repair facility), and the owner's desires (and attitude).
I thought so! I used to live in Alpine, NJ, which was not far from Newburgh. From the pics, the fire extinguisher got lifted... but the brackets were there. I call dibs!!!
Got to meet Stockpro tonight at the FF premier event at FOS. Great guy, they put on a great party. Will post pictures tomorrow.
This CS was set to be listed in November but got delayed. Here she is now. I don't think this one will last very long. I've driven this CS (when it was brand new) and awesome color combo! 7,055 miles asking $149.9k. Who's going to pop this bad boy?? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
pho sho'! next closest color to white. if it had black alcantara w/ red stitch it just might have boomeranged back this way.
Thanks stokpro for your help! I ended up putting a deposit on a 430 today. Stokpro was always so nice to talk to and definitely has his finger on the pulse of the CS market - Truly a car guy. Thanks!!
That is indeed a great color on a CS. Not too many made. Here's one with stripe. Image Unavailable, Please Login
