Diaz is looking good against Condit this weekend. I hope the fight is close, I've been impressed with Diaz' conditioning and wrestling. He took it as well as he gave it against BJ, both their faces were jacked up after the bout.

I'm not sure if I want Diaz or Condit. I wasn't a fan of the Diaz brothers, I thought they had a bad attitude and weren't that bright. It was painful at times to hear their interviews, but I'm starting to understand them and they're growing on me. They're here to fight and thats it and they sure can fight. I want a good fight, may the better man win.

Love them or hate them, this seems to be the Diaz brothers' time. They are both looking the best they ever have. Both are very solid and talented fighters.

I'm rooting for Condit. I just don't like the Diaz brothers. I don't care what their upbringing was- they are punks.

I agree - I really like the Diaz brothers. I also really like Condit - I don't think this is a slam dunk for Nick.

Nick Diaz is a great fighter but Carlos was better tonight. Carlos landed more shots and avoided nicks. Nick is a cry baby and doesn't deserve the opportunity to make the money he is making if he can't accept the judges decisions. Unanimous decision too! Congrats to Carlos. Good luck against st. Pierre, your gonna need it.

Greg Jackson was the brains behind this one! Condit fought a perfect fight. I compare it to the night Leonard defeated Hagler to win the Middleweight title. Condit did everything he had to to win!!! Diaz was such a baby afterwards. I hate when losers complain. Hey, he had a chance for 25min to finish him. Oh well, enjoy your retirement I sure will. (That won't last long).

Condit had a brilliant strategy to neutralize Diaz. First two rounds were even but Condit turned it on in third round. Diaz was a two dimensional fighter and never executed his flurries like he did against penn. I still think gsp will destroy Condit but it will be interesting to see the two stablemates fight this fall.

Condit did an amazing job against Diaz. He executed a perfect game plan to neutralize Diaz's boxing. I was not at all impressed with Diaz's post fight comments.......suck up the loss and take it like a man. Condit won unanimously and with no controversy. If Diaz saying that he is done with MMA holds true, then all I have to say is don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out.

Kos definitely had a harder time with Pierce than he thought he would. Kos got the win, but Pierce was pretty impressive himself.

Is Roy Nelson the most durable fighter, or what? That guy proves again and again how much punishment he can take. Werdum did nicely, and showed me that he is immediately in the upper echelon of the division. It will be interesting to see who they match him up against next.

Gee, big surprise there. When they announced that at least one fighter tested positive for a substance, I immediately thought that it could be Diaz for weed. And sure enough......

Recently, there was talk of Dana giving Diaz an immediate rematch, which Condit surprisingly accepted. Turns out the Diaz camp turned it down. I don't know why there was any need for a rematch. Carlos won fair and square, and in my eyes, with no controversy. It amazes me.........Diaz whines and everybody seems to feel that his whining should be accommodated. I really don't get it myself.

Agreed. I do like Diaz, but the whining and subsequent positive test really diminishes his accomplishments and growth as a fighter.

I guess there is no rematch for now. I would be afraid the second time around. I think i'd put my money on Diaz in the rematch.

Meh, I'm so sick of Diaz. White should exile him back to Strikeforce. He was a ******bag before UFC 137 and if it weren't for his fighting skills, he never would have retired BJ. After UFC 143 he whines like a little ***** and then gets busted for ganja. Meanwhile, Condit has been the consummate professional. Sheeit, he didn't even lace up for UFC 137, schooled Diaz in 143, and now should do what Hendo is doing and bide his time for GSP this fall. Condit has nothing to prove with any other fighter besides GSP.

Nobody is giving Hendo a hard time for waiting for the Silva-Sonnen victor.

But not every fighter can afford to go without a payday for that long, and from what I am reading, Condit will fight sooner rather than later. It's not like he has been getting the huge paydays so far in his career. I wouldn't be surprised if he fights the winner of Sanchez/Ellenberger, which would make sense as I believe these two are awfully close to a title shot. Or maybe Hendricks is in the picture too.

The WW division is getting interesting..........

Condit didn't even flinch when offered a rematch with Diaz. Shows (me) that he is a true competitor and not a whiner like Diaz. If Diaz was so convinced he won, why didn't he jump at the chance??? punk...

So what happens if Condit loses before his title shot against GSP? Then is there an immediate rematch? What happens if he gets injured? Look at how injuries have stymied GSP and Silva. Look at how long Rashad has had to wait to get his opportunity at the belt? No guarantees in the MMA game and to take an interim fight for the sake of a payday when Condit is the top contender may not be the wisest choice. Certainly for Hendo at 41 y/o I can see the logic in waiting.

If Condit loses to another opponent before he has the chance to fight GSP, he loses the interim belt. If Condit gets injured when GSP is ready to fight, I doubt very highly GSP would have to wait around for him. I do believe Condit would get a shot at the belt whenever he is healthy again.

I highly doubt Condit has enough money sitting around where he can go without a payday until the chance to fight GSP, which GSP has said will be towards the end of the year. It's all noble to wait for the shot, but at the end of the day, you need to support yourself and your family.

I disagree. He's still a young guy. He hit a speed bump, but I think he'll be back as strong as ever.
