That's a new one and reads pretty well,if it's as good as it says it won't last long at that price, compared to the rest on offer.
I see the ad requires any test driver to be as old as the car.. young 'uns cant understand piloting a lounge room maybe? lol
Someone just emailed me a response to this from the owner of the Alfa...lol....after 34 years!!! "I owned a silver Montreal and had a drag with a blue 246GT once just after it exited the Calder Freeway north of Keilor. My memory is that through the gears the Montreal just had the edge on the Dino. Mine certainly did not 'blow smoke'. Incidentally the cop that pulled us over that day was my brother so, sorry, you got booked....I didn't. It's not what you know......."
Would that annoy you (well sort of) thinking that you both got booked and all was fair in 'love n war' only to find out 34 years later that in fact you are the only one that was fined!
Nah. The cop said to me something along the lines of "Why would you drag a Montreal? You'd win for sure, right?" I told him "yes, of course"..and it wasn't like these days...no points, just a small fine. Luckily we'd slowed down a lot by the time we got to the speed trap. I actually recall it as one of life's happy experiences to be honest. Maybe I need a better life I was on the way home from having a one on one driving lesson at Calder with Frank Gardner at the time. It doesn't get much better than that.
Hmm the joys of fair policing.... I have had my share except for one occasion where I had to walk for 12months
Spotted these on a tilt truck today, most likely just fresh off a boat. Lancai Delta Evo in a burgandy colour and a red Alfa Romeo SZ, both were LHD. Image Unavailable, Please Login
i think you could bring one in as a race car,as there on the marque sports car list from memory,as is the 288GTO.
Spotted an SL500, but what it special was the owner. I could tell it was his car the second he emerged and started walking towards his car. Middle aged, blonde tips in his hair, gold earrings, gold rimmed aviators, and a lovely bright pink polo shirt with the collar up. He was the coolest man I have ever seen in my life.
