Jeff should contact the bodywork restorers of this car as I'm pretty sure they said they would offer the person who did the nose filler work a job! Pete
The web truly is a wonderful thing! Very pleased everyone is enjoying Jeff's post, I am very grateful for his contribution. Mark
Jeff, you've made a great thread better! Thanks for your wonderful contribution and do please stick around and contribute as this amazing project draws to a conclusion. Keep goin' Mark, you're doing great and isn't it wonderful to garner fist hand history like this as you go? Best, Greg.

thank you!!!!!!! A big thanks to Alberto (swift53) for supplying the paint sample, all the way from El Salvador to London, to get the correct colour finish. A big thanks to Parker Hall at Kilimanjaro Designs for supplying the top anodised tag (which is now engraved with the correct number). A big thanks to Matthias (GermanDino) for supplying the yellow FISPA rub on transfer. Great FerrariChat team work! cheers Mark
Interesting turn of events. How much time passed from the creation of the body work to you acquiring the car?
Hi, if you are referring to Jeff's contribution to the body work - the 100kg of body filler - approximately 20 years. I am surprised it lasted so long and gravity never took!
Hi, had a fantastic surprise this morning! If you recall when I bought the car back 2009 it arrived missing the rear handbrake callipers and cable mechanisms. The car was fitted with a Roelof racing brake system (no handbrake). To make it road legal in the UK it must have an operational handbrake - so I spent the next 2.5 years searching the globe for a set of rear brakes - to no avail. I was going to re-use the Roelof rear brakes with an in-line fluid handbrake, utilising the original leaver etc Then Joe Macari returns from Italy this morning with a brand new set in his hand luggage! He knew one of his Italian contacts had a set, just locating them was an issue, as they had been misplaced after being in a store room for over 45 years. Lucky for me they turned up - a huge thanks to Joe! Some of the parts we have sourced for this car have amazed me, but I am speechless after this amazing find.....apparently they have never been fitted to a car. cheers Mark Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, this is an amazing result. Seriously, how many of those can be found knocking around in the whole big wide world? Fantastic!
And I still cannot find a 'correct' steering wheel for my L series Dino. This, being the "Lourdes" for unfoundable parts, possibly someone might know? Mark? Regards, Alberto
Hi Alberto, i will certainly pass the request on to Joe to make the enquiry - do you have a picture off one, or what makes the wheel unique? thanks Mark
Hi, does anyone have a picture or know where the brake booster / servo ID tag should be attached? many thanks mark Image Unavailable, Please Login
Soak it in hot water first so it does not rip. I went back to edit with better photo.... Do you have tag on the fuel filter? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
