Sorry about the massive delay guys, haven't been checking in here as much as usual.

Same rules, vote for your favorite that is NOT your own. Also don't forget that it's the best image of the theme, not always the best image in the bunch.

    Good luck!

Hmm... well, I'm not quite sure it's "murky", but I'll go msdesignltd this time. Love the framing.

If I were interpreting the contest strictly, I'd have to vote for Brian.

    Thanks :)

I wish there had been more pics though :) ill have to check on the car when I get home. I believe it was a small van like the Fiat Scudo.

Next topic should be birds. You know, the small animals with two feet, beak and wings :d
And its ANY kind of bird as long as its alive. doesnt matyer if it is a big zoom, nakro or just normal pic. If its taken through a window or is in captivity like parrots.
It should just be a bird or birds :)

Checked the pic. it is totally impossible to determine what car it is. But the one it mostlikely is, is the Fiat Ducato.
    http://www.mascus.com/image/product/large/lastas/Fiat-DUCATO-4X2-kassevogn,568-1.jpg

Simply based on the shape and the headlights being placed just below the window and the fact that we have quite a few of those driving around here :)

Here are some other pics from the same day that didn't make it *LOL*

One thing I'm really curious about.... I was once disqualified for submitting a photo
I took "about five weeks ago" - that the photo had to be taken during the TERM OF THE CONTEST.

Has that rule changed? If so, I can enter a LOT more of the contests....

    Just curious. Anyone?

Personally, I THINK IT SHOULD. Many of us are busy business types - don't have the
time or opportunity to shoot during a 4 week time slot. But I was a professional
photographer in the 80s, and have shot TENS OF THOUSANDS of images over the
decades. I think it's a serious limitation in the contest.

I know that folks bypass that rule... I KNOW they do. Just say "I took this last night"
and you're good. But I don't work that way.

I'd much rather have the contests open in time-frame, with a SOLEMN OATH that the
picture is at least YOURS and not something off the web. Honor among friends.

    Just my 2 cents....

I guess I see the contest as a way to expand our photographic ability. I've been shooting for 5ish years now and have quite a large portfolio, but when we first come up with a theme everyone starts from scratch. Yes, one's ability might be greater than another's, but we must still start at square one with finding something to shoot. I think it's a lot more equal, especially for beginners who will be going up against someone with 20 years of photos in their back pocket who can just pick one out and post it.

It's not about winning, it's about doing something with photography you may not of thought to do before. Example: I've never shot (with a camera, or a gun for that matter) a bird in my life, but now I'm going to give it a shot, if I remember. :)

I took this about 5 units of time ago.

Seriously, I agree. It's not even really a contest. Sure, we vote on our favorite, but thats not the point.

I haven't participated in months because I spend as much of my non work day with my son as possible, even though I too have pictures that would fit the topics.

The point is to motivate us to go take pictures.
