What a transformation a few changes have made to this car. Original shift knob and it will be perfect. Are those 205s on the front? Supercool.

Yeah, the only thing I was a bit shocked by. Well, shocked is maybe not the word, but a black top on the stick would be better.

You are right Joe, but here you are the OEM shif knob: i have it in a drawer of my desk. i put that Momo knob on the car as it's by far more comfortable than the OEM it had. It's an aftermarket part of that age so i think is hystorically correct too.

Front tyres are 205/50 as they must be: here police fines and stops car for months if they discover you have the 225/50, that are allowed just on QV and 25th. And you loose insurance cover too, as OEM correct measure is 205/50-15

Car improved a lot since it came back home two years ago: a long battle not ended yet!

    ciao

Hi Emmanuel, let's talk a bit about "Flaws" on my car:

    1) i have OEM gear knob on a drawer in my desk, i simply prefer that MOMO knob as is more comfortable.

    2) the radio is not OEM: oem radio is here, waiting for installing.

    3) seats are in this moments under rebuilt by the two guys who did the OEM one in 1984, two formers Paratelli's shop workers. They are rebuilding all interior parts that need work: cockpit picture was taken after they rebuilt just cockpit, and it's perfect.

    4) no more flawns in that car: the exterior is 100% perfect, the interior will be perfect next month as the mechanical parts.

    5) there are very few 5000S better than mine, after so many works did by the best Lambo specialists we have in Italy.

    6) i asked you yesterday do not publish the picture with the complete plate numbers...

    ciao

    Hi Alberto,

I found your car looked perfect. I was just saying that some people would probably be picky as they usually are here ! Sorry guys ;-) but it's also why I appreciate reading posts here.

Re. your car's numbers : well, these are the pics you showed to me, there are no numbers, right ?

Everythig is ok, do not worry.

But do not publish anymore the third picture from the upright, the one who shows the complete plate numbers.

I for one think your car is excellent and beautiful. IT is YOUR car and you can do as you see fit and ENJOY the heck out of it! I get so tired of all the "Experts" picking other people's car's apart to make it what "they would do".

My answer to all those that Po-Po it..

No problem, buy it for $300K USA Funds and make it the way you want..other wise just appreciate what the owner has done and enjoy with him/her their car of choice.

Forget my post - or read it twice, please ;-) assuming there is some humour in it.

Nobody issued a criticism, I was kind of joking, saying I love the car but some talibans would still find something to say.

    Peace guys :))

(am sure those smileys help a lot, aren't they ?)

    Wow, immaculate !

I hope I will have this sort of cleanish look all round on my car in one year from now (will be having a serious maintenance and engine bay will be accessible for a total, deep clean up).

I'm planning on replacing every bit that would show some traces of oxydation. My mechanic guy does not know yet though :)

Alberto, congratulations on the effort you have put towards making your beautiful Countach LP500S look pretty much the way it did when it rolled off the factory floor at Santa Agata. Tutto Originale! Bravo.

My first Countach which I bought in the 80s (12515 LP500S) was Nero/Rosso just like that. Fond memories.

I can see your shift knob has split down the seam (very common) and it makes it uncomfortable to use. I had the same issue with 1121038 and I had it repaired and it finished the interior off nicely.

It is true, the oem Countach shift knob is not the mos comfortable and that's why a change was made with the Anniversario.
