Hey guys I picked uP my car about 3 weeks ago and in the mix of driving and enjoying this awesome car and traveling for the Super Bowl/ valentines day season I haven't made any post's.

I'm in need of tires, I have 19inch scud wheels on this bad boy and am in the process of buying a pair of re-11's.

The size I went with is 235/35/19 front & 285/35/19 rear.

Is this the recommended optimal tire size?

When I get home I will post pics of this beautiful machine

Thanks for all ur help in advance.

there is a post somewhere recently by F430GT where he goes thru the tires sizes for all of the cars (scud included) with standard wheels and with wider wheels. In fact, I think there is more than one post that addresses exactly that question.

read this post and the whole thread should help too: I just typed in RE-11 in the 430/360 forum search box and there are only ~4 threads with recent posts and they are all going to be helpful to you. I found this one, but there is another post somewhere with the RE-11 sizes and yet another that says how big front/rear you can go up to on those rims...

Btw, I'm not concerned with the repost...just trying to help you find the answers...

fwiw, I'm not the expert, but those sizes are "fine" - aren't they the standard scud sizes? If RE-11s come in 245 you may want to go there up front...

Agreed. Those are the recommended tire sizes from factory. I have them on mine as well.

Interesting...I just ordered new tires for my CS (got the RE-11) and I noticed that my CS on stock rims is currently running 235/35 Corsa up front (and standard 285/35 in back). I did not know that I'm embarrased to say...I assumed they were the original size 225/35. So, at least I know the 235/35 RE-11 I ordered will fit :)

The RE-11s are ~$1200 vs. $2000+ for the Corsa's...easy choice!

I'm curious....are any of you adding spacers to the Scud wheels?
They seem like they are not flush with the fenders.
    If so, what size?

You're right. Even on Scuds they are not flushed with the fenders. IMO, a maximum of 10mm rear spacer will do the trick. The fronts I can live with but its the rears that I have a problem with. Longer bolt nuts while you're at it and remember not to lower the springs too far down. Wouldn't want a blow out when you hit uneven grounds at law breaking speeds.
